BogMonster Posted November 5, 2010 Share Posted November 5, 2010 On the Discovery 1 two-button alarm system you could buy, for just a couple of quid (and for a genuine part!), a replacement case and buttons for the remote alarm plip. This got around the problem of folks with sharp nails digging them into the buttons and buggering them up which was a common problem. The Discovery Td5 uses a one-piece key with the electrickery and plip buttons built into the key; does anybody know if you can find just the button sets for this type of unit? The best I have found is a whole body plus blank key blade for about £20 but just wondering if anybody supplies the buttons only? Land Rover don't appear to do it but while the buttons in the D2 version are better, they are still not invincible and we've got one here that needs a button replaced.
