Shant
Just wondering if anyone had any experience with Quinton Hazell water pumps and Delphi Fuel pumps, and if they are any good? Thanks!
western
both are well known/respected manufacturers of replacement parts, should be no problems with using them plus they will have their own 12months parts warranty

cackshifter
QH may be OK now; however in the past I bought a QH water pump for an old style Mini. It had a much smaller impeller and with fewer vanes than the OEM pump, and the engine which admittedly was non-standard didn't cool properly, presumably not enough circulation, as it was fine when the pump was changed again. I must admit I bought a LR water pump from Paddocks and was dismayed to find it was QH; however it looks very similar to original. If they are now OEM supplier maybe that sort of nonsense is behind them, and we have others who take on that role. Nigel

Shant
Many thanks everyone...... There was an emergency at work which required all available doctors to go in, so, I have been in the Netherlands until this morning. I'm really sorry that I didn't reply before I left. Many thanks for all of your feedback on the QH water pumps. I bought one today after reading all of your comments. I remember reading about a bad review about the Delphi fuel pump in a 300tdi; I am hoping this was just one person's bad experience, but no one else I have asked seems to have had a problem with it. Should I buy it?
