will_warne
I've been having a very entertaing day trying to track down double cab roofs. Why, oh why, do breakers believe they deserve the prices they put on them??? "A double cab roof, sir, full of holes, no headlining with a birds nest in one corner... That'll be £700 and the back pannels extra" I think I've nearly killed my phone today with the number of times its been replaced 'in a hurry'. Oh, and don't even think about trying Land Rover, they'll charge you £1900 + vat and then annother £500 if you want a headlining. I'm seriously miffed as I was offered a roof for reasonable money a little while ago but I told him to hang onto it for the time being as I wouldn't be needing it for a while. That's now been sold and the guy who bought it is now charging a 200% mark-up. I refuse to pay silly money for a peice of bodywork that'll get cut up and then probably bent at some point. Ho hum. Time for beer.

freeagent
why don't you just make one....??? take one truck cab roof, one 90 hardtop roof, snip snip, and rivet to taste..... job done, a couple of hours and surely no more than £200....... probably a bit less..... Unfortunatly its not quite that simple. The front section is the same but the rear peice is unique only to the double cab. Stretching a truck cab can work but the overall effect isn't quite as good. minivin
Will, are you cutting it to shorten? if you were to buy it would it be worth getting a mold taken off the back portion, do you have any photo's of the edges as I could then talk to my friend who's a GRP specialist and I know one other person interested in a rear portion in GRP? Possibly, Rob. I might get Mike Brown to take a mold for me once I do the job.

[lobs grenade] There was a Damaged 110 300 Tdi double cab for £1600 hard front end damage Or try Andrew at BLRC 02897511763 over here, he buy and breaks alot of Td5's. He used to be in the insurance industry so has good connections.
