sheppy
Hey all, right im on the lookout for my second 90 ( had a 1989 2.5td a couple of years ago which i paid 1200 for) but my question is have the prices shot up since a couple of years ago?? ive seen several average conditon 90's with the sluggish 2.5td engine for up to 3.5k!! ive got around 2k to spend on one, am i dreaming at this sort of money?? cheers
Phillis
not a dreamer, depends how good you want it to be, and if you want to do work on it, its just time looking and going to check them out. What 90 you looking for? pickup/Hard-top/soft-top/county..?
sheppy
not too botherd about the conditon (as long as its not a rust bucket) it wont be a daily driver or anything more a weekend toy to work on and drive. would prefer a hardtop but would settle for a pickup

Retroanaconda
£2k would get you a half-decent utility model I'd have thought, though prices have gone up in recent years. Check every inch of the chassis though, cars in that price range are going to have had or need repairs to the steelwork unless you're very lucky. If you look for long enough you'll find the right one
jcwcooper
I recently picked up a 2.5TD 90 Van for a freind and Payed £1000, The inside was very shabby but the chassis was fine and body work was pritty good,it had a new x member but the rest was solid. There are vehicles out there to be had but its a mine field price/condition wise, get out and have a look at some in your price range you may just get lucky like we did! Dave. Dave. the one you picked up sounds very similar to the first one i had, it had bails of hay in the back and was a state inside but the chassis and bulkhead were mint it was just crying out for a better engine. i cant even find any that are semi local that are within my budget at the moment! sgnas
Prices are wild at the moment! Down the road from me there was a J plate 90. I nearly bought it just to lay up until I had a use for it. Guy got £2750 for it, it's now on a forecourt for £3995!! for a 20 year old truck. I think in the classifieds on here there is a 1998 110 for £11500. It looks absolutely mint, but thats £3000 more than I payed for mine 5 years ago.
UdderlyOffroad
You might find 110s are better value at that budget - I did!(Lights blue touch paper, retreats to a safe distance :-) )
