discomikey
maybe. maybe Brian will turn his nose up at the V8 too? but then have a certain amount of respect because he is in the prescence of a limited model of a dying breed. Retroanaconda
Could you re-mount it so that the tensioner ran on the back of the belt rather than the front? That way you might be able to get away with using a serpentine tensioner as a get-you-there bodge.
discomikey
the problem is finding somewhere to mount that. as then the belt would have to be direct between the crank and water pump.
ejparrott
Now here's an interesting one for you...I've been having a rummage this afternoon...and dug out the aircon bracket for The 109...guess what the tensioner looks like............. I'm confused now....doesn't look anything like the one in the parts cat (never to be taken for granted) or the one in photos on various peoples websites (presumed to be a picture of one they actually had in stock)....... Having had a search the closest one I could find was very similar but clamped to a post, regardless of the fact it wasn't the right one it was still over £60 for the cheap version and over £200 for the LR one! So purchasing a bearing even at £12 was definitely the way to go For your amusement and to give you that warm feeling inside that you get when saving money have a look here http://www.lrdirect.com/ETC6159-Pulley-Air-Con.-Efi/?sfi=etc6159

discomikey
yep thats where mine was. all i can think of is that it was a sanden product not a LR part number. although i couldnt seem to find it on their site either
ejparrott
Have you an online parts cat for the Sanden pump mikey? Think I might have lost the plug outof the side of mine, took it out to drill for a grease nipple and can't find it again
discomikey
not really, all i had was this. http://www.sanden.com/index.php?tag=AAUYOIFBS failing that its probably a standard thread that a air/hydraulic company will have
