SmasherWebbs
After driving 200 miles this weekend I found that on monday I couldnt start my 90 for love nor money. After some tinkering and a new battery I found after bleeding the fuel line at the injectors she jumped back to life. I have yet to find any fuel leaks so Im wondering if my injectors or one is back blowing (knakered) air to the fuel line. Any Ideas of what else it could be? And does anyone know the part number is for new or recon injectors for a 2.5T (1988).

Retroanaconda
Check the injector leak-off lines before you spend out on new injectors, they often perish and you end up with the fuel running back to the tank giving starting problems if left for a while. SmasherWebbs
will that put air back into the pump???
Retroanaconda
It can mean it takes a lot of cranking to get it going again, how much depends on where the air got to. The system should self-bleed with the cranking though.
SmasherWebbs
ummmm no amount of cranking helped. But will have a good check of the return spill pipes
Steve 110
Could be the valve in your lift pump letting diesel drain back to the tank once engine is switched off. Had a similar issue on my 2.5td
