New engine for LSE

Hi all,

As per the title, I am in the market for a new engine for my lse. After rolling this around my head for a while, I have come to the conclusion that a turner 4.6 with gas flowed heads and a cam would fit my needs. Not cheep, but good rep and should give me what I want. The question is, what are the other alternatives for this kind of money. The truck is used as an overlander / camper, and as a fun truck. I intend to keep it for the forseable future, hense time to spend good money on something good. All imput will be greatly receved. I also have in mind to put ashcroft lockers in, and as I run 35in tyres, I need to change the ratio in the diff. I think there is someone on here that might be able to help with that.

Thanks for any advice

Carl

I would keep or replace the 4.2 with a good or rebuilt 4.2. If you want some extra go the intended would suggest megasquirt system. The improvement to my 3.9 with it fitted was very noticeable.

I have Brookland edition lse all black that I should do something with it as I find it difficult to brake her for the engine and box as she has done less than 65k. Very savable.

Lse is a awesome truck I'd be leaving it more-a-less factory with useabke upgrades.

GMC V8 Diesel :i-m_so_happy:

Something of a marmite choice I'm led to believe, had a couple of friends in Belgium who ran ex. USAF Chev Blazers & loved them but have also read horror stories about GMC reliability as well. Very heavy lump to sit on the front end of a RRC too but they have a sound track to die for!
