Seatbox

Recommended Posts

Can the seatbox be removed independantly of the sill uprights, or do the uprights need to be unsecured from the tub at the same time?

My setup had nuts/bolts going through the whole lot (seatbox / sill uprights / tub) which i dont think is correct.

Can someone please confirm?

Like you Steve, mine just had nuts/bolts going through the 3 different assemblies.

However page 759 of parts book shows bolts (10) going through seatbox from the front, while page 763 shows bolts (44) going through sill uprights from the back.

This seems to suggest that they are both independant of each other, or is it just an error in the parts book?

Two nuts go through from the front of mine through the flanges on the seatbox, the front flange of the tub, and the upright of the sill itself. Same on every other vehicle of the same construction that I've seen/owned.

You should be able to remove the seatbox without removing the sills and/or their uprights.
