weasel_110
Hi Peeps...Was going on holiday today but kenlowe fan blew and is seized solid...Does anyone have a spare viscous fan I could buy to get me out of the s**t? All shops are shut now CheersGary
reb78
I only have the fan, not the coupling, plus I'm miles from you. If its any use in the future, let me know. you'll probably be fine running without the fan if you take it easy, although when most folks say that, its not as warm as it is now. When my last viscous failed, I used the cab heater when the engine got hot in traffic. I was very warm, but it worked!
Retroanaconda
As long as you're moving you should be fine, as long as your cooling system is set up correctly then even in this warm weather you shouldn't have a problem. I'd just go on holiday and get one on Monday wherever I ended up.

Anderzander
Near Preston .... It's a hot day too. Between Preston and blackpool to be precise. You'd be welcome to it but I'd need to double check its ok and after 5pm I need to be in to look after my baby girl (I.e no baby sitter). Anderzander
I have one that's been in storage at my parents - I don't know much about viscous fans but the spring on the front looks to have been displaced a bit ?
Anderzander
It's from a D1 200tdi engine.

weasel_110
The inside of the threaded hole should be roughly 22mm...
weasel_110
Sounds about right
Anderzander
I've just cleaned it up a bit and the spring now looks fine - one of the centre coils was bent a little so Ive just pushed it back and the spring is sitting nicely now. The fan came with a turner built 200tdi that is for my series 1 - so surplus to requirements. Message me if you can use it - sorry I can't deliver.
