NickHodgson
I have a 300tdi Defender with Power Steering. My brother in law has been using it and now when I get it back the steering no longer self-centers. I have now replaced and reshimmed the king pin bearings and still no luck. The power steering seems to work fine though. Any ideas what to check next?

Check for bent track rod (behind axle) this will cause tracking to be toe out and will make the vehicle wander easily and will affect the self centering. Also check for stiff steering column universal joints between bulkhead and steering box. Regards, Diff
