dave88sw
Hi, I've got a superwinch X9 winch that i bought not working. Connected it up to a battery and the solenoids click and power reaches the motor but nothing happens so i pulled the motor. It is full of crud inside and needs a damn good clean up but all looks in reasonable shape other than the brush pack which has some contacts that are beyond redemption. Does anyone know where i might source a brush pack for the motor? Thanks Dave

axlechorus
I will second that for procuring parts for an X9 we have here, very reasonable prices if I remember correctly and the X9 is also a cracking winch because you can maintain and repair it to last for a very long time! honitonhobbit
Dave doesn't do X9 stuff anymore Speak to Dave Porter at Superwinch - but they are Slow and not cheap You will get the same prices and faster attention if you talk to Peter Lamb at First Four I re-build X9's to fit on clients vehicles - so much better than the bulk of what's out there - but I swap in new motors (TDS long or short armature jobbies). If you let me know which motor you want to re-build I may have a reasonable s/h one for funds to the forum
