gonewestnz
Hi all, just got my ARB pump up hose out to check and discovered it has a small split (5mm or so long) in the Orange pipe. Is there a way to repair this? Is it possible just to buy a replacement hose ? Is there a better quality hose available with the arb fitting? Thanks in advance. ejparrott
Quite likely just standard fittings. What does it look like?
gonewestnz
The hose has a push in connection at the compressor but knowing arb it is their own fitment as it is smaller than the standard compressor fittings I may have a go at removing the fittings and sourcing a hose to fit them on as don't reall want to pay for a full replacement pump up kit if I don't have to. Boydie
No, it's a standard fitting - although there are several types on the market, take it along to any reputable pneumatic hose supplier and you can get a replacement hose and fitting(s) or simply have the split section cut out and a new fitting installed. Mo Murphy
IIRC those fittings are described by ARB as American. Mo
Lewis
Cant you just cut the split section out and use a straight joiner?
gonewestnz
May try cutting and re joining, any recommendations for a suitable hose joiner? Found a reasonably cheep replacement but would be good to fix this one as a spare.
Lewis
Something like this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=390596173281 You'll need to know the size of your pipe [the above link is not necessarily my recommendation just the first eBay search hit]
gonewestnz
Thanks 10mm o/d 7mm I/d is the size and I ordered off the link above, was thinking the internal ones would be stronger but would also restrict air flow a little, I'll see how these hold up in the field have ordered a couple just in case more splits appear
