Gazzar
I'm going to get my wheels shot blasted and zinc plated - and was thinking of getting them powercoated at the same time. What colour works best on a matt green lightweight? Nato Green, or black? G.
Bowie69
NATO green - you don't think the squaddies responsible for painting them did any masking, do you? Stick a bit of card over the windscreen and blat the lot, including the tyres

Taffia
Tempting! But, no, the OCD will try make it pretty! Thanks, G. OCD and Ex MOD Landies is a hard mix - I know! I have seen both in Military stock versions for Army and other services so I guess its down to personal preference! That should be a sleepless night for the OCD (I did a wheel Bearing on my 110 yesterday and found that the Hub Seal was in the wrong way around hence the leak and there was no shim or circlip on the end of the axle - which is why at 0630 on a Sunday Morning I am going out to check the other wheels - sleepless night yes! Snagger
The MoD always had green wheels - I have never seen them painted black, even in part, only rarely a black wheel that was unpainted but covered by black primer.
