henk
Is there any diiference between a rapier chassis and a normal chassis?
MECCANO
I believe so, there is a slightly different rear cross, and the rear tub supports stretch further up the chassis.
tacr2man
IIRC the rapier chassis was made from stretched 110 chassis rather than as later as a 130 chassis from start
henk
@stretched 110: that could explain why the check of the chassisnr gave me a 110 identification
GBMUD
When I did a factory tour last year the 130 chassis still bear the hallmarks of being a stretched 110 chassis - though I am sure that chassis numbers are now recorded as 130 right from the off, and arrive at Solihull as 130. def130
i believe i'm not wrong but the difference between a normal 130 and a rapier chassis, is that the rapier have a extra side wall to increase strength
MECCANO
Early 127 chassis were also stretched 110's.
