harrym1964
Thinking about splashing out on of these: http://www.johncraddockltd.co.uk/accessories/winches-and-accessories/warn-winches-and-accessories/89640-warn-zeon-8-8000lb-3630kg-12v-winch.htmlAnyone used them before? Been using a cheap Mantec one for the past couple of years and it's not looking too clever at the minute.I'm also unsure whether it would be worth the extra £200 for the synthetic rope version. mickeyw
A Goodwinch TDS 9500 is a better deal. You could even spec a decent synthetic rope and it still comes out less. http://www.goodwinch.com/shop/tds-winches/goodwinch-tds-9-5-9500-lbs-12v-or-24v/

steve200TDi
And I think some of the Warn winches (and maybe other) have the brake inside the drum and so you can't run synthetic rope as it'll melt. Anyway, what they said, TDS all the way! Steve
