mad_pete
Currently I have a plus 2" lift, but I'm starting to wonder if I really need it. I have 265\75 R16 BFG mud terrains so I'm not sure they are big enough to need to be up in the air as much as it is. The handling on road I don't find a problem but am I gaining anything? I have a cage and a winch so the suspension is probably compressed a bit anyway. Would I gain stability and access to a few more car parks if I changed to standard springs only trading off marginal approach angle and wading benefits ? I have the large pro comp shocks at the moment.
Anderzander
I had 265/75 on std height with long travel suspension and had no problems at all. You may well be receiving very little benefit from it ...
Team Idris
I've gained a lot more by fitting a ski underneath in 2" by 4" box section. You'll always bottom out on something, so it's better if you can slip over stuff. It's a trick I got from a Vitara, as they can slide over a lot of stuff if they have momentum and a bit of traction. Blackfiesta123
I haven't put a lift on mine and have got places modified landys haven't. Tho down to inexperienced drivers. I don't need a lift. Tho if the lift was already fitted id probably leave it. I used to run 265 75 16 special tracks but have switched to 7.50s ultragrips.
