SeriousIIa
A sad day yesterday for our challenge team Scrap4x4. The competition disco made a backflip and has severe damage: De A-pillar is bend, cage torn from the outriggers and the chassis is bend. Now the plan is to buy a donor disco. The competition disco is a 300 TDI. Now we can obtain a 200TDI donor for the front panel work and chassis. Does anyone know what differences are in a 200 and 300tdi series chassis? And the front body work? (mountings?) Hope you can be of help. Cheers Bowy
Orgasmic Farmer
As far as I know the 2 are identical with only a few cosmetic differences (front grill and lights) and a different interior/dash. Otherwise chassis and bodywork should be the same.
steve_a
I'll try and have a look for you, I have a 300tdi 1997 and 200tdi 1991 sat right next to each other, so I can see if there are any major differences. Off the top of my head I don't think there is, possibles/probables are: * gearbox cross member different, but that's just a bolt in * engine mounts, though they look pretty similar from memory, might be in a different position * anti-roll bar mounts on 300tdi models * fuel tank mountings * boge mountings If there are any areas you want to specifically compare then let me know and I will try and put a tape measure to them or something

Ivan
I had a 300 TDI body fitted to my 200 Series Discovery no problems fitting it that I can recall. HTH Ivan
