  1. No problem mate glad to help , just make sure the bolt that you use for fixing it to the binnacle isn’t to long because you don’t want it touching the circuit board .
  2. Paul mc on here is your man for the connectors Also Land Rover connectors on eBay , back is held on with 2 torx screws and 2 at the ends to secure it to the binnacle, all opened up , so my interpretation of the destructions are still the holes out like this and fit the rivnuts, then secure it by using the bolts through the binnacle, so all you need is a couple of 6mm rivnuts and your good to go .
  3. Yes the TD5 ones fit from the rear , I've got a TD5 warning panel in the shed to fit to the 90 I'll dig it out tomorrow and post some pics up if you want on how it goes together , it's not hard to alter it .
  4. And the destructions , I guess it's cheaper and simpler to make one then come up with a way too make the other fit . I didn't know this till I brought this one I drilled the holes out on the one on the 1110 then made up a couple of bits of wood to support it from the rear .
  5. Here’s a pic of the binnacle and the bag of fixings instructions to follow off me outer as I’ve had to scan them .
  6. If you mean does the TD5 warning light panel fit in the raptor pre TD5 clock surround yes it does , because I ordered the pre TD5 one and then upgraded the clocks as you have done on my 110 , and I brought the TD5 version from Raptor not long ago for my project 90 and from memory there the same but for a couple of rivnut type things . If you can hang on till tomorrow I'll go and have a look at what fittings I got with mine .
  7. Those are standard height ones , I think the challenge ones are +2” Ross .
  8. Yes there’s no hole in these ones but they drop in easily didn’t even have to loosen the expansion tank to fit them , wish I’d brought these last time😁 , and they are chunky but very smooth in there movement. Yes I’ve always thought something was wrong but did a search on the net and found pics with the shocks tilting that way at a slight angle , I suppose when you think about it there wouldn’t be lots of movement as the spring compresses but as the axle moves down away from the chassis it would pivot rear wards straightening the shock .
  9. Not yet mate , will post a couple up later .
  10. Cheers all , just to put this one to bed Gwyn’s turrets fitted and all okay had a trip to work in it Saturday and rides great . Problem was I’d put a spring washer under the spring retaining plates making them too high and the shock wouldn’t swivel enough and the turrets where to narrow on the internal diameter so the shock was catching on the bits that stuck out on the inside . cheers Ian
  11. Cheers cackshifter, good to know should be here today and fitted later 👍.
  12. Cheers Steve that’s great , decided on new ones so gone for gwyn’s as so many recommended them .
  13. Cheers @SteveG it’s standard height but hd .
  14. I’d only sand the nibs back to make the circumference of the inner circle even , then tap the tubes in if needed then reweld and weld the inner part of the tube, can’t see it weakening it that much .
  15. Yippee cheers @pat_pending now I know I’m not going mad 👍.Does any of the kind gentleman that have gwyn Lewis shock turrets have any to hand so they could measure the inside clearance for me please ? So think I’ve found the reason for the shocks sitting forward, as they wider , the bolt that holds the spring plate & retaining plate down was too high , I’d put a washer and spring washer on and the shock wouldn’t swivel back. So here’s a pic of the turret so do I do as pat has done and sand the nibs off that would give me 100mm clearance or buy some new turrets , options please ?
  16. Rite update I’ve done a bit of measuring, a standard turret is roughly 100/110mm internal diameter,a standard shock is 50/60mm measured these off old parts lying around . The Koni shock is 70mm diameter and the gap on the turret I’ve got fitted between the bits that stick over the spring housing is 80mm , the turret overhangs the inside by 10/15mm , so there’s not enough wiggle room for the shocks just 5mm each side .
  17. Yes it’s the blip on the inside that’s catching on the shock Ralph if the ring had a bigger inner diameter there wouldn’t be a problem, I might take them off and sand the blip off .
  18. It stays the same I think , they look identical from memory because when I first brought them I thought they’d be handed but I tried always and I couldn’t get them to mirror, if you know what I mean . One sits with the opening slanted to the rear and the other side slants to the front , I’ll have a play when I get home from work tomorrow .
  19. What shocks have you got fitted @Daan ? Any clearance issues ?
  20. These ate the ones I’ve got fitted https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163143042072 but from paddocks just looked on there web site and doesn’t say there handed , I think I’m going to take the off and sand down the inside won’t need a lot taking off and shouldn’t weaken them , need to get them sorted as I’ve got to borrow the wife’s disco sport tomorrow and she’s not happy about me using it for work😁 .
  21. No they aren’t sided not that I no too did look when I brought them ages ago , I’ll have a look at that tomorrow night Ralph but the lip on the rubber washers is in the hole and both sides are the same , the terrafirma ones I took off sat forward slightly.
  22. Got some pics mite only just catching the corner do you think I’d be okay sanding the inside down ?
  23. Yes the body’s wider , can’t turn them upside down as it says to fit them they way I have them . The body of the shock is hitting the base of the turret as they encroach on the opening in the spring mount if the internal diameter of the turret was bigger it wouldn’t be a problem, I’ll see if I can get a pic .
  24. Hi all , I’ve just fitted some new springs and some Koni heavy track raid to the front of the 110 , got same on the rear and I’ve got a problem, the shocks are hitting the turrets which are the tubular ones from paddocks and going down the road it’s bouncing around like a kangaroo 🦘. So obviously I need new turrets but has anyone come across a similar problem with there set up and which turrets did you fit ? Before I spend my hard earned on them , been looking at the adrenaline 4x4 ones https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/182475371495 any help much appreciated as always .
