  1. I get what you are saying Daan i thought the same thing but although the Heystee kit is better made its twice the price and you only get the conversion kit which doesn't come with calipers, disc's, pad's, and everything else to fit them which could be another few hundred quid on top so thinking when i get the Zues kit i will buy a couple of sets of disc's and try and sorce pad's locally if not buy a couple of sets off them.
  2. Right ok still interesting to know though and when I find more tops I will deffo be checking, sadly the top i found the other day got binned after I took the pic and since then the bin men have been so it could be anywhere now
  3. Yeah I do have one of those and did think of using it for this but want something I could just switch on and go instead of lifting seats and connecting up plus I have a long drive which my garage airline doesn't reach all the way up so the T max gets used for that just incase the end car has a flat, good idea though
  4. Hi guys As you know I'm getting into beach metal detecting and as you know everything you take on a beach gets covered in sand even if you try and keep it off the sand, anyway whilst driving home from my last trip out the other day I got thinking if it's possible to fit a single cylinder arb compressor to my 2a for blowing sand off the detectors and other detecting tools before we leave for home and if so where is the best place to fit it
  5. Yeah I've still got pic's of all the bottle tops I've found not many I know probably about 10 in total and all have 21 crimps on them and are all the usual ones you find all over world like Budweiser, Corona, Stella and alike so would be interesting to know if all countries that make bottle tops are making the with 21 crimps
  6. Apparently that top has 24 crimps on it but in 1960 all bottle tops crimps was reduced to 21 crimps so that top will be at least 60 years old
  7. Its only 100 mile from us in Manchester 200 mile round trip where as Scaborough in North Yorkshire was close to 300 mile round trip but to be 100% honest i never get tired of driving it and i could of quite easily have gone and done it all again straight away, out of all the series landy's i've had this has been the best for long distance driving 😀
  8. A pic of my mate having a cold drink ( pop ) whilst i took a pic of the landy at Barmouth beach 😄
  9. Well i only found this on Barmouth beach as we found other holes that someone had dug so think we need to go earlier and have more of a chance.
  10. Yeah its great fun, i'm trying a new detector out that i've just bought so yeah i'm really excited😀
  11. Going metal detecting on Barmouth beach on Saturday, will post pic's of my finds when i get back 🙂
  12. Yes what I found driving it other than the noise it had similar power as a 2.25p engine but the sound of a 2.25d engine, shame really but a turbo or higher gearing may help to keep the noise down slightly
  13. I ordered a handle to fit to the lower end of my sand scoop to make it easier to remove the scoop from a hole and shake out, anyway it arrived today so I've fitted it ready for testing out on Saturday in Wales
  14. Yeah they don't open weekends to order as you have to ring them to place an order and wasn't sure if the price they was advertising it with was with V.A.T or not but after looking on their web site it doesn't include V.A.T so was £580 so £700 now but still cheaper than the Heystee ones though.
  15. I just can't reach to getting the Zues front kit this month so will save most of the money up and get it next month
  16. Thats what i was thinking of doing getting a set of disc's in, pads are probably more easier to find but if not get some pads in as well from Zeus.
  17. It was a few years ago though so they may have changed what the do now
  18. Yeah the thought did cross my mind but i thought i read somewhere that they used Ford disc's and calipers so thought i could sorce parts that way.
  19. Yeah fit and forget is what i'm after 🙂
  20. Yeah i'm running series / Defender steel modulars 6j wheels.
  21. Hi guys I'm looking at fitting a Zeus front brake conversion to my S2a swb, i was going to go for the Heystee conversion but the Zeus is better on price and availability so thought i would ask if anyone on here has fitted the Zeus conversion and what is it like to fit and how the performance is please 🙂
