Kit not arrived yet but they did say it will be sent out either this week or next week as they was in the middle of moving buildings so once it arrives I will post pic's

Hi guys Just curiouse really and with being stuck in the house and the weather hammering it down here and seeing adverts on the box about electric cars it got me thinking has anyone on here got an electric car or know someone who has one that use it for towing a caravan or boat or something, what are they like towing, can they tow as with an engined powered car not all but a lot of peeps tow with cars and i don't just mean landy's it can be any electric car 🤔

Hi Maverik, yeah I don't have anything special as I'm still classing myself as a novice as I've only been doing it for the past 2 years but more this year with having the landy on the road, i now have 2 detectors one is a C scope 4pi ( pulse induction ) and the other is a Tainxun TX850 which i have just bought and getting use to there doesn't seem much difference between the two but I plan to go out one day with both machines and cover the same patch with both of them and see if there is any difference and I also use a Nokta pinpointed as well and that's it really, oh and a sand scoop 4pi £260 tx850 £150 Nokta pinpointer £100 Sand scoop £75 all off Ebay and bought new obviously you will need a finds bag maybe headphones and stuff but they are to your preference, hope this helps.

Yeah I have already tried swapping back to a std diff but for town work it's still to high as 1st is like 1st with o/d even though I don't have o/d but at the mo 1st is like 2nd so I've lost 1st all together but 4th is really good for Mway as the rev's are right down and will do well over 90 but don't want to be doing them speeds really, would rather prefer getting 1st gear back and the cruising speed lowered

Yeah its not an everyday car just a weekend car but most weekends it can cover 300 miles doing metal detecting trips so getting used a fair bit 😀

Just bought the Zeus front disc brake kit. Can't wait to fit it 😁

Are right ok, looking at swapping out the HRTC for a STD tranny box and fitting an o/d but keeping the 3.54 diffs but if I don't need the o/d well then I won't fit one.

Is the gear ratio for the roamerdrive the same as a fairy o/d or is it different.

Nar not really interested in doing land detecting as its really hard to get permission.

Yes apparently most Cooper Discoverer tyres come with the white block lettering on the tyres but seems to only be on tyres from 265 - ? X 16 onwards but our's are 235 - 85 x 16 and don't, also the black lettering is a different style of lettering to the ones that have white lettering on,the black lettering has lines going across the letters and makes it harder to paint and possibly run so we just did the outside of the lettering

All the bits are other than the low gear wheel not sure but possibly due to the kit fitting different boxes some low gears may fit some won't but as I said I don't no much about tranny boxes

Couldn't find the invoice but this is what you need

I don't know much about tranny boxes but there are 3 shafts i think that come in the kit, inc 2 of the 3 gears needed to fit the shafts then you need to order another gear thats not in the kit as the original gear won't do now, i will dig the invoice out later for the part number, you also get a thrust washer and all the gaskets 🙂

A little job to do on the landy this weekend ready for going swinging again next weekend in Rhyl 🙂
