  1. No sorry does not look familiar. Thanks anyway.
  2. Can anyone of you gentlemen provide me with a list of parts and a design of the towbar mounted on a Defender 110 of 1995? I'm looking for example for the sizes of all the bolts and the method to mount it to the rear cross member. Thanks in advance.
  3. You mean, err, ehm, like an intercooler? ;-)
  4. Is ther a HOWTO in here somewhere? Cheers.
  5. Can anyone give me pointers for the method to use if I want to determine the reason for slack in my drivetrain? I was inspecting slack in my propshafts and could turn them almost 40 degrees by hand but fiddling with the claws of the UJ's on each end revealed only minor slack in them. So, the question is, where is all the slack originating from? Needless to say, Yolanda is considerably clunky when driven disrespectfull ;-) She's a 1995 110 CSW 300Tdi Cheers...
  6. Mind you, illumination of the roadside will be much worse. Yes taping will prevent others being blinded, but at a price to you. Better safe than sorry...
  7. You would be tempted to think that there are indeed replacement pins but no I have been told that it is impossible to replace the hinge pins. And from the looks of it, it seems to me those pins are pressed into the hinge, and removing them will probably damage the housing, basically destroying the hinge...
  8. Yes I did refer to that. No hurry, I need to source a radiator. Are those #$%^& expensive... €300+
  9. I saw several comments about that yes. I'm contemplating that. OTOH, it does not seem to be a leak induced by the way the fan is attached. However, it seems to me that the way it is attached now is one-shot and that detaching it will waste the currect attachtments... Do you have measurements on the size of the materials (roughly?)
  10. Here's my predicament: I sprung a leak in my radiator that has a Kenlowe electrical fan attached to it. I now need to replace the radiator but I don't want to replace the fan too. Any of you that can give me some advice on what I need to be able to reattach the fan to the radiator?
  11. Yeah well some people can't be stopped picking up stuff from the sidewalk... ;-)
  12. Please continue you're petty bickering, it is most amusing :-) :-) :-)
  13. I'm thinking about one, however, I would be interested to know why the left side of the radio is in fact nice and warm and cosy while the rest of the car....
  14. That is why drivers are drilled to declutch the engine while starting. On a auto gearbox your only means to do that is to put it in P or N.
  15. In The Netherlands, it's a Series/Defender thing. A wave, a honk and sometimes flash your lights.
  16. Uhm how about finding a gauge that gets an electrical signal from a probe? Seems to me that has a lot less safety problems than running a pressure line to the bulkhead...
  17. Well... Hate to rain on that parade, but how is electricity made again?
  18. In addition to -ebay -e-bay you also can use site:xxx.yyy (for example if you only want sites from the co.uk domain add site:.co.uk to your search)
  19. All, I'm quite new here, have been reading stuff for a bit now and have a question: I need to replace the barrels in all doorlocks and I know how to remove and replace them, however, the barrel comes out together with another part attached to it, see the first picture, red arrow. What is this part called (manual calls it a retaining sleeve and says it's plastic, mine is not) and where can I buy it?
