Don't know why they've gone there still in the photobucket account.

MSA cage regs are basically race car regs scaled up to fit land rovers etc and are very strict on shape. Have a look at the American trucks safety is paramount but there cages are designed purely for offroading.

I sleved and cranked a set of standard one's on the tomcat can't remember the wall thickness but the tube was a nice snug fit and don't forget to gusset the bend.

As I recall I don't think you can get them anymore they were superceded by the chocolate ones they now fit the set I have came off a D reg 110. They are noticeable larger than the "standard" ones I've not seen them on discos or 90's so could be a heavy duty thing on early coilers.

Why not get early range rover/110 trailing arms they are considerably bigger diameter and iirc there solid so much stronger.

The wife just said:-

Ours is locked via a bike disclock through jackable sill to a cable that's locked to the sankey that's locked to the 110 that has no rear axle. Simple isn't going to stop someone but may slow them down enough to go else where I hope.

I hope your not expecting mine to be that shiney underneath. Looks like you will beat me to iva by quite a way mind then I can pick your brains before mine does ;-)

All my prop fun has been based on measurements on the ibex so hopefully I've got it right. I'll be using puma front and post 02 110 td5 rear I may need to make a spacer up but won't know till it's all in place.

To get full strength in the joint you need 1.5x diameter of the bolt worth of thread in the hole.
Not disagreeing with you but why is a nut only 1x diameter then.

Based on my blind guess you would struggle to get it lighter than about 7kg (without fancy mat) but probably around 9kg like I say though that's based on how much mat I would put in it.

I think I may of found a pair of standard props that will work so if anyone has a def tdci front prop, a def 90 td5 rear prop(should be the same length as tdci so is a back up) or a post 02 110 td5 rear prop they can measure open and closed that would be great.
On a progress note I've made some progress over xmas all the pedals are in along with the steering column. The A frame has new bushes and ball joint so rear axle just needs disc conversion and paint it's already bolted up under the ibex as I don't have enough room to paint it any where else. The heater is all in bits getting a bit of love and I've hung the loom through the bulkhead to start working out where all the wires go.

45 has freestyle alloys on it but if I'm honest I prefered the modulars that were on it before mind the alloys were cheap with good tyres ;-)
Daans wheels do look very nice though.

That would explain it so yes it was overzealous mot men .

I was under the impression you had to have inner wings for the mot. I know several friends that have been picked up on this with flip front mini's but that might be over zealous mot inspectors.

I've got most of them back I managed to create a new album in the photobucket app and this moved them all thus breaking the links.
