Congratulations Mike
Are you having a Land Rover as the wedding car?
You can only get there if you have a land rover though we may have to let a few uneducated other 4x4 owners in (brides father) the rest have to walk!

Sounds daft but check you seat runners mine broke the weld at the front mount this produced a clicking sound over bumps.

I might know a registra who drives an ex ladoga trophy raid 90 sorry 45. But if your wedding is in a couple of weeks you can't have her as she is driving said land rover to her own land rover theme wedding in Scotland to marry me........ hopefully.

Somebody thought they were a good buy though.

The friction plate is the only difference between 110 and 130 clutch the 130's is a little larger in diameter.

Crossply tyres (at least race slicks) have to be put on a certain way round. Different ways for front, rear and four wheel drive this because if you get it wrong you peel the tyres apart. Radials don't have this problem unless directional and that's a grip thing.

Jason you may or may not know that I have done the Norway trip in my tomcat although I did it in April so only down to minus 20. I had the same system as I currently have on the 110 I used optima's and had no problems your more likely to have issues if you use lead acid as if they freeze they are useless until they thaw. I did little more than a good full service and fit the eberspacher before I went.

I'm running twin battery split charged fridge and an eberspacher but no A/C on a 65 amp alt with no problems I can run the fridge for 3 days without running the truck why on earth do you need a bigger alt. I mean yes I would like a 100 amp alt but can't see you need bigger.

I've no idea of the condition of the injectors as the truck has done nearly 200k but is on at least It's second engine and I'll bet that was second hand as it's a disco timing chest.

Trouble is I can't replicate it on the drive and Mr plod gets upset if you drive down the road with the bonnet off and someone stupid enough sorry sat there listening. Might check the lift pump as I have a spare one somewhere.

Firstly its a 200tdi disco lump with a defender turbo etc the noise is a pinking sound (high pitch metalic rattling) it only seems to happen from cold and goes as it warms up. It is engine speed related but only under load if you ease up on the throttle it goes. Tappets have been checked and I do have an exhaust blow at the first joint after the manifold and it sounds drivers side but may not be.
Any thoughts to check out?

I might be wrong but I think only one of exmoor trim's is safe to use with a child seat and no others are that may or may not include gen land rover ones so just double check if you need that facility.

I believe this was common on camels if that's any help.

Put a small fuse between works well the thief gets in interior light works turns ignition on some lights come on trys to start all goes dead gets board knocks the old Ford down the road instead well hopefully anyway.

You will need to move the altenator and power steering pump from the standard disco position.

Your not the only one britpart are the worst so much so I emailed them to complain thinking I had nothing to lose after "testing" they confirmed they couldn't replicate the problem so sent me a new pair which also melted. I replaced them with genuine 300tdi style type (bulb mounts from behind) but I'm told genuine early type don't melt either will find out soon as I've got a side light on the 110 that the bulb falls out after being on for 5mins.

Cool report I recognise quite a few of your photos mind you have a bit more snow in in yours. I have to say the first time following a snow plough up there is a nerve racking experience. Looking forward to part two.

Disco 1 rear seat belts are what your looking for I think.

Quite simply you have to put an MOT on it without one it's £1500-£2000 with anywhere between £2000-£4000 but people will only pay what they think it's worth no matter what you have spent.

Carbs maybe cave man but they do work are cheap and let's face it some of us don't get on well with computers.

May not help but my standard black plastic fuel line was 5/16 (200tdi) and this is land rover they tend to fit till they run out then swap to the next size.

I asked and was told by the police that the only way you can move an untaxed or uninsured or unMOTed vehicle is on a trailer or flat bed it can not touch the road.

White spirit should do it or WD40 work well neither will affect the paint but I would wash it afterwards.
