hi, 2001 td4 has anyone fitted a hands free phone set (parrot) in there freelander as it says in the handbook it might interfere with the electronics. dd

tell the dealer you need a another car to run round in while this carp he's put you in is sorted could go on for months(in your case I hope not) he might think twice and accept the landrover back with full refund dd

clutch has gone back to normal for some reason it only happened the once fingers crossed dd

hi, clutch pedal staying down have to pick up with foot and noticed fluid on top of n/s driveshaft gaiter could be some seal failed any ideas on repairs dd

yes done that now got steering casing off unscrewed ignition connection off the barrel turned ignition with screwdriver and car starts every time yet before had to hold key over and then it would start after a short time now in the barrel the rod that fits into ignition is wobbley and I can push it in about 5/6mm, would this cause the car to cut out as you moving along dd

hi, misses freelander td4 justs cuts out busy main road today twice dash lights go out engine cuts out turn key nothing on dash 4/5 times then starts plenty of fuel in think it could be electrical as she tells me now that it always takes 4/5 times to start dd

hi, borrowed a torque wrench britool eva 600 but he cant remember if you just wait for one click or two as when torque is set get to the click and you can still put pressure on the nut, searched google all I can get is someone trying to sell me one any ideas dd

thks for your reply kieran75, no leaks from blanking plate checked oil in ird ifs that what you meant emptied oil out and found it to be well short only 400mml so flushed box out and renewed with correct level still got grinding noise so while I was under neath I changed gearbox oil which seemed quite good but changed anyway still got noise, misses went out in today and tried it coasting in neutral still got noise but seems worse grinding as if brake are applied with very worn pads

hi, 200tdi discovery engine, I was changing valve stem seals and putting the last one together and the clamp slipped and the little collar type half nut that slots round the valve stem to hold it in shot across the garage and presumed lost can I buy these and whats the proper name for them they come in two halves. dd

hi, problem dragging on now, symptoms rubbing groaning noise from front n/s comes in about 20mph get faster with speed when you remove foot off the pedal and coast and slow down its really loud grinding noise as if the brakes are grinding but theres no brakes applied put new disc/pads, new calliper guidepins checked calliper not seized new wheel bearing yesterday still the same, when we bought the car 9months ago previous owner removed propshaft off the back and now its a 2wd any ideas

hi, I will be rebuilding my discovery 200tdi engine shortly and wondered if people use silicone or rtv such like with there brand new top/bottom end gaskets. dd

hi, so far I sent the vented discs back as I thought they were warped brought brand new again got rid of pulsing on the peddle but got intermittent rubbing on the wheel so I brought brand new calliper guide pins took out the piston from calliper cleaned it and replaced and still got this rubbing on the wheel, done the same with drivers side and its perfect running out of ideas and money now any ideas forgot to say calliper piston was very hard to remove bone dry with some rust dust in there dd

hi all, freelander 2001 td4, changed vented discs and pads on the front and now got a bad juddering when braking and you can feel the peddle bouncing under foot and a burning smell coming from the pads would it be to much fluid in system because of thicker discs and pads, dd

I have got a discovery 200tdi tre damper draglink panard, and steering box can I fit this lot to my defender 90 which means the damper is on the back draglink tre bar instead of the front dd
