  1. What V8 did you have before? Remember a decently tweaked Tdi should only be making around 150bhp/260lb ft with a limited rev range. It should drive well and have nice power delivery. But a 3.9 V8 has 182bhp and similar torque and should be quicker still. I'm not far from you (just S of MK). If you wanted a comparison your welcome to have a ride in my tweaked 200Tdi Disco or run yours side by side with mine.
  2. Wow didn't even know there was a Commercial D3, don't think I've seen any on the roads. Do they still have the TRS?
  3. Depends on many things. 1. Exactly what tyres including width and tread. 2. What rims and offset 3. Intended use for the LR If you just want to run some A/T's and keep it on the tarmac then very little needs to be done. If you plan to off road to a greater or lesser extremes then it'll take more. I run 33.11.50R15 with big lugs, they measure about 34" though, running on 15x8 steel 8 spokes (sometimes with 1" wheel spacers). I have stock ride height & uprated suspension and trimmed arches. I also off road it.
  4. Yes its worth it. You can never have enough power, a remapped one will put the engine where it should be instead of the dumbed down tune LR use. Or put it this way - once you've driven a remapped one, you won't ever want to drive a stock one again. No real negatives, only the cost of getting it done.
  5. Nice, I like the yellow and those tyres look bigger than the specs on them - me like
  6. Very interesting, is there any more info on this?? Have there been any changes to the setup at all Fridge?
  7. Many thanks. Think I'll just stick with the +2" ES9000 shocks and some RM 2 leaf para's as my chosen setup. All I have to do now is sit and wait for them to come in stock....
  8. Thanks. The vehicle is only going to be used off road, RTV trials mostly or going over the fields. One thing I've noticed on other Series motors running 3 leaf setups is they don't articulate very well at the rear, but maybe its just the setup on those vehicles. They are all 88" pickups too but I don't know the make of springs.
  9. Looking for a nice parabolic setup on my 88" diesel pick up. I've been thinnking of the 2 leaf setup from Rocky Mountain with their ES9000 +2" shocks. Is this a good setup to got for? Also will I have issues if I run One Ton shackles with this setup?
