This event is now sold out :-) we are however in need of marshals if anyone would like to volunteer please let me know, we will feed and water you, and of course spectators are more then welcome.

24 of the 25 available places have now been booked, if you wish to compete, I would get your deposit in now ! If anyone would like to marshal at the event please let me know, we can supply tea, coffee and lunch and will be having a marshals raffle. If you would like to spectate, just turn up, all we ask is children wear high viz apparel.

Following on from last years inaugural event we are holding two rounds of the Monster Challenge this year, the first at Yarwell in Cambridgeshire, and the second at Mud Monsters main site in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The Monster Challenge is like a cross between a comp safari and winch challenge, competitors have to complete as many laps of the circuit within a set time period, having to do one special winch stage per lap, they must complete all special stages before repeating any of them, who ever does the most laps wins. Spectators welcome and we do still have a few places left for entries, however we are filling up fast. I'm afraid they do, for insurance purposes, it can of course be joint membership at a very reduced rate.

Mud Monsters Challenge Round 1. Boxgrove near Chichester.
 3rd of March 2013. The sponsor for this round is our good friend David Bowyer, from Goodwinch, he has offered some great prizes for overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, also add some great trophies for the top three in each class. Entry fee per round is £60.00, if you book all four rounds driver and co driver will receive free event t-shirts. The site will open from 2pm on Saturday to walk around and check out the sections, free camping for the hardy. 

Spectators are welcome from Saturday and free to camp, we ask all spectators wear high-vis tops, this is mandatory for under 16s.

We run a couple of "family punch hunts" a year at Mud Monsters, very much like the event you are talking about, the idea is to attract new people to the sport and add another dimension to playdays, Nige you have my number ;-)

Was trying to avoid that route, only local "expert" is Pirtek, used them once, not a experience I care to repeat.

Project vehicle is having a rear mounted radiator, I'm not plumbing the oil all the way to the back so plan to use a separate oil cooler, found a old Mini one, fittings are correct but the threads are wrong, anyone know of a after market kit that just fits ?

Not me guv, I have more hair for a start ! Funny enough tho, I was sent these images on the 15th of Aug, looks like the same incident and the number plate matches, it was claimed it was a site near Peterborough, but of course it could be anywhere.

These are plopplops, nice idea, badly made and very over priced. The first one we had split around the neck the first time we used it, they replaced it, the replacement did not even get close to making a air tight fit around the spout of the jerry can, bit of trimming with a Stanley and I got a it to seal, tired to use it and petrol leaked poured of the pressure relief valve. I am awaiting a refund, I am not holding my breath.

We usually get 20+ at our playdays at MudMonsters, always up for some co-operation..... Sorry to hijack your thread TJ, Bunny Lane must be epic if a man is prepared to leave all the local beer and drive across half of Europe to attend

Thanks for the updates chaps, last time I went to a HBLRO event at Slab we had to play follow my leader round a taped off course, not something I am keen to repeat. I had heard Landmarc were getting more expensive and had issues with their "rules" shame really as we've been using the sites for years.

Are Shire planning any more events at Slab, Hogmoore or Broxhead in the near future ? Bunny lane is just that bit too far for a day trip for us.

Just to say thanks to all who entered, spectated, marshalled and help setup , the event exceed all our expectations, a fantastic weekend, and feedback has been very positive, this makes all the hard work worthwhile. Results, photo's and video will be appearing soon, once we have our breath back !
