Hi all,
just bought a Discovery 300tdi Auto & found out that the front prop uj's are shot transfer box end, can anyone tell me the correct part number ?, I have a new one in the box with part number TVC1000010 is this the right one ?
thanks in advance
John
In my quest to find an unmolested Discovery I came across this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-LAND-ROVER-DISCOVERY-300-TDI-AUTO-JAPANESE-IMPORT-/160540633143?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2560f7a837
Now am I missing something or is the seller in another world to me
For that price surely it would have to still be unregistered & have just been found in an unused part of Solihull under a dust sheet ???

Right, now your going down the same route as I did, has the pump's selonoid got an immoberliser in it ????, my money says YES, if it has you might notice different wires I had to smash mine off with a hammer & replace it with a new one & that solved mine my 'new' engine came out of a burn out as well.
Hope this helps

Be carefull using T-Cut on synthetic paints as it can dull it down !!!, T-Cut has armonia in it, might be best off just using a good quality wax,
Had my last disco for 3 years & only washed it once

Shame your so far away, I have a pair of RRC grey draylon ones with runners that was going to be fitted to my 90 but that has now been abandoned. Nice & comfy as well
John
I have done it the other way & pretty sure you would need a lot more than just the pump as there are a lot of electrickery to go with it air/fuel meters, wiring & if yours is auto the edc goes ''fly by wire''
John
that really depends on your budget, ability & facility's, in my opinion 2 pack is the best & most durable but unless you have experience of spraying & have breathing apperatus thats a no no, if your going to brush then a good quality synthetic will do,
hope that helps

dont be surprised what a Landrover will do, have a look at my avatar, thats my 90 2.25 petrol only mod is the tyres, the Tanker was full & weighed 21.5 tons !!! (did melt about 1000 miles of my tyres though

Hi Bob
As a part time business I refurb alloy wheels & the paint I use is normall 2 pack car paint & laquer so its as durabule as the paint on any modern car, use a good qualaty primer (2 pack) & then a good quality top coat but bare in mind you need to wear breathing aperatus as 2K paint WILL kill you , shame your so far away as could of helped you out, hope thats of some help.
John
I have had this happen twice now, once on a 200 & once on a 300 & both times just changed the headgasket without getting them skimmed without any issues.
