  1. Slower yes, cheaper no! I think the 2-litre is better for slow speeds and running around town, but it only 'just' up to the job of getting me 55 miles up and down the motorway to work each day.
  2. A week or so ago Morrisons in Eccles, Manchester went from 35.9-39.9. A year ago it was 29.9 there! The two places near work went from 39.9-42.9. Petrol and diesel seem to have stayed the same, so I wonder whether gas is subsidising those two...?
  3. Come on Roger, show us a picture, I could do with a good laugh today!!
  4. An old-shape Nissan Micra (or summat like that) tried to pass me on the M60 this morning then pull in, but due to a wagon slowing in front of him, couldn't get in. I sailed past on the inside lane so he stuck his finger up at me for not letting him in then pulled in behind me. Up to that point I was managing about 50mph... It was surprising how long it took me to slowly come off at the junction, then slowly down and around the sliproad onto the M66 while he followed me! Must have added a few more minutes onto the journey!
  5. As has been mentioned, I would not go LPG only because you will find places that have very few LPG outlets (Wales springs to mind!), places run out, or pumps that are out of order. Because LPG is still relatively unknown or cared about, when pumps are broken, garages don't seem so bothered about fixing them or even apologising about the lack of fuel! I bet if they ran out of petrol they would be bothered...
  6. A list of the additives approved by the Fedration of British Historic Vehicle Clubs is here
  7. What sort of regulator does it have? A friend of mine has a little genny that runs off gas bottles. There is a large regulator that mounts on top of the bottle, and in the middle is a little spring-loaded push button. If you press this it depresses the diaphragm manually to let a charge of gas in to help start it.
