  1. Has anyone spoken to Paddocks?? Seems only fair if you have been scammed to tell them? They will not want bad publicity/lost business?
  2. Jesus Christ, I hope you find it. I sends a shiver down my spine when i hear this as I am sure it does for all of us, will keep my eyes and ears open.
  3. welcome aboard, I am new too but have read a lot and learnt a lot there is so much info on here it is fantastic.
  4. About a month ago I went out to td5 54 and the key fob would not work, I replaced battery in it and in the spare, about the same time I replaced the main vehicle battery and all has been fine ever since. However today having driven the car this morning, left it park for 5 hours return, nothing from the fob, I opened up with key and of course the alarm goes off, christ they are loud. I will have to enter the imobilser code when I have collected it from home, but any brainwaves as to what could have happened, the battery in fob and car should be fine, no lights left on, the only thing I cannot 100% be sure is that I locked it this morning? the 'knobs' where down. Do i need to get her on diagnostics?
  5. I would suggest that one of you that has been scammed talks to Paddocks direct, as someone else said it could be a rogue employee, or ex employee, they would rather know than not?
  6. Thanks Brian, do I know anything about chickens............um yes quite a lot actually, a division of the company I work has 40,000 meat birds and 65,000 layers,I oversee their labour policy and production manegement. What would you like to know about chickens?
  7. People are always moaning about ebay and its charges these days, if you don't like it don't use it? Try selling stuff that you would put on ebay at an auction house and see how you get on for charges, I know auction houses provide a different service but mostly their audience is much smaller, you have to take the item to them and collect if it does not sell. or you could use the local paper, local shop to sell stuff and sit in waiting for people not turning up or time wasting tyre kickers. One of my other hobbies is collecting a certain type of stationary engines and ebay sellers provides and excellent shop window of spares. I don't like paying for anything but ebay bashing mystifies me to be honest. If you don't like pork then don't eat a pig.
  8. that is amazing, That lorry just melts around it then it still works............I did see one pop up under a car in exeter just off the catherdral square its meant to allow buses through a car followed a bus.
  9. You use the term 'sic' correctly however you misunderstand the term 'you do the math'
  10. Thanks Fekete that won't work then, there must be a better system, it is clearly a major loophole which affects us all as these 'invisible' vehicles are sued for crime.
  11. 1, No hostility 2, Tattoo? you do the math 3, USA system I think they have a different colour/type each year so obvious to everyone with eyes that the car has no tax/mot etc -I am sure someone can confirm this, the police would not even need a computer, you could of course forge plates I guess, so no I have not fallen into any trap mine or otherwise. 4, Motor trade dishonest................Surely not! 5, the weak link in selling is the seller checking his facts of course 6, er that's it.
  12. Well GBMUD I could tattoo something but it would not be on your head, what a pleasant fellow, The USA system where plates are changed each year might do it, not sure how that works, but relying on honesty in any trade is nuts, in the motor trade insane. The current system relies on both buyer and seller being honest, it does not work (as this case proved) work if only one side is honest now does it?
  13. It look like he has ended the bidding early anyway.
  14. He is selling 6 rare eggs for £250 money back if they don't hatch................Sound like a bargain to me!
  15. rolling around the floor laughing it is now up to £900 odd pounds, it must be all those keen neighbours bidding.
  16. Its ok he claims to have been offered £1800 cash for payment in the morning, he claims the V5 person was and i quote an 'idiot' yes indeed how quaint to insist on a V5 when buying a car, some people are so fussy.
  17. beanie hats for me please, possibly rugby shirt in large B$astard size.
  18. Someone is bidding on it, it has gone up to £256 in the last few hours, however if you want a laugh read his negative feed back, the guy bought another car and there was no V5.............our seller reply was 'he never asked before purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Easy solution bid £1,000,000. then he can't sell it.
  20. That is a lovely idea but people that are prepared to drive uninsured, tax and mot less are hardly going to worry about a form or two are they??
  21. The reason this country is turning as you say is because we have been governed since 1997 by people who only think for themselves and no one else so in this situation if you help someone you could get shafted. By people who think that quality of government is measured by how many footballers/one hit wonder pop 'stars' and aged rock 'icon' are entertained at no 10 than on policy and doing as you promise. The people of this country voted them in not once not twice but three times...............don't blame me. I will help people as and when i can, in fact you would struggle to find someone more helpful than me. It does concern me sometimes the consequences.
  22. Clean the sensor, check for moths in vehicle i had one that randomly flew about. Dignostic machine best route for sure. When you locked it with key did you disable the 'interior space alarm' You say it is parked in differents area so it is not a random lorry/dustcart? Mine has done that too.
  23. Individual officers of course can do nothing, I meant (dear me) what can be done to change the system that stops this from happening. It would help everyone if the system was tighten up, including you as there would less 'cars that failed to exsist' driving about.
