I can think of a few problems doing this, The disco 2 radius arms mount to the chassis different to how they would on a defender The disco 2 doesnt run a A frame they have a watts linkage A disco 2 Has rear airbags ( altho i belive you can run coils ) so would props be able to weld spring seats on the axle You could sort most the problems with mods to the chassis but then you would need to regalv it Abit off topic but did you used to race XC for cycle Force? When you were fitting everything u didnt knock off the small pipe that goes from the turbo outlet around to the pump? Just a idea might not be getting the fuel to match the boost. Russ

I am new to hydro winches only ever used electric ones, If i was to go for somthing like saleys winch what else would i have to get to run it. If i was to spend that much on a winch i might as well have it working as well as it could! Thanks

Am just about to buy a die for my bender, Will the bender bend 2inch x 12g cds? I will just be using the bender manualy. Many thanks

Hello People I have a 2000 vogue and the cd changer has given up! after doing a google search i have found that theres a common fault on these changers. Does anyone know if theres a different model changer i could use? The model that i have is a alpine xqe100240 is there any others i could use? It has the square connector on the changer. Many thanks

Do you have a way of getting a VNT to work with out all the problems that other people are having? Have been having a good look around and see some of the are controlled by the cars ecu. What am looking for is one that works its self ( if you know what i mean) russ

Learn somthing new every day! Been looking at vnt turbos, would be nice if you could get one that already has a way of opening closing the vaines without all the bother that some people on here are having. Would be making a tubular manifold for it to. Russ

This may be a daft question but whats a VM diesel? What other cars truck etc come with a VNT turbo? Many thanks

Hello people Am rebuilding my challange truck, am looking to adjust me fuel pump and i have a big front mount cooler fitted. My standard turbo is past its best so was thinking about upgrading it ( will be making a better exhaust manifold ) but not sure what to go for, Have been looking at turbos from a td5, t3 ( off a rs turbo ) merc sprinter etc. Has anyone upgraded a turbo on a 200tdi? what did you go for? Any advice would be great. Thanks Russ

I have been looking in to this, have you used it? does it not clog the pick up pipes etc?

We got abour 4inches in durham and stillcoming down hard! Had to take the wife to work the look on peoples faces when i pulled up outside her office in a challange preped 90!!!! Priceless!!!!!

Fell free to post your pics up mate Be nice to see your a overall view of your truck! Its mainly the front hoop thats causing problems with the cooling duct Found this pic and petal has the same kind of idea for the duct as mine but still has the front hoop made out of 1 bar.

The reason that idea would be better is i have a rear mounted rad and have a cooling duct above the windscreen same kind of idea as a tomcat etc The way jims cage is the bar across the top of the screen will miss the duct If anyone has any other ideas fell free to fire them over. Russ

Afternoon When i have been looking through my pics of different challenge events i have seen a few different cage designs, most of them have the same kind of design for the front hoop. Sorry Jim looking at jims (gigglepin) truck the design for his truck looks as if it would be a better idea for my truck seems as if the bar over the windscreen is separate the the main front hoop I have always thought the front hoop needs to be 1 complete bar. If the way jims truck is done is fine that would save me a lot of bother with my truck. Thanks

Make sure you rear lights are working. when the fuse poped for the rear lights on my disco 2 the diff lock light came on, as soon as i changed it, it was fine again No where in any books etc does it tell you this.

Morning people I have the chance to buy a disco 2 thats had a back end shunt. was thinking of buying it and braking the rest for parts but keeping the engine and box. I wounld be wanting to put the engine in to my 200tdi challange d90 along with the discos auto box Am guessing people will have done this before so can anyone through abit light on how bad the wiring is and how to waterproof everything. and is it really worth putting the td5 in inplace of the 200tdi? thanks Russ

Hello people Am in the middle of rebuilding my challange truck and i might as well use the set of disco to front arms i have, But am wanting to weld a few brakets on to the arms, Are the arms ok to have welding etc on them? Do i have to use any different rods etc Thanks Russ
