  1. +1 on vdo gauge and sender, tells you exactly what's going on
  2. Clutch plate FTC3196BB and release bearing FTC5200 all the same 200/300 and n/a
  3. Tbh I don't think JLR will replace the defender once they stop production I think that will be it, It's all down to money in the end and I don't think they actually sell enough defenders now to make money on it, plus they have the likes of the freelancer, disco, RR, RR sport and that other funny looking thing they have, at the end of the day it's about profit and that's where the money is in the SUV market.
  4. Sorry mate above no is for complete clutch kit, cover part no is URB100760G
  5. Yep same part for 200 300 and n/a part no da5551, as above wanting doozel part no's, have you bumped your head, I would put some smiles in but don't know where they are :-)
  6. That is the nuts muts, dare not show that to my little lad as he will defo want one of them, even the misus says its very cool, think I'm talking myself into one :-)
  7. Can't advise of anywhere to do the work, but you will prob pick up a v8 and box for anywhere between 250-500 of the bay, prob best to get an old scrapper disco so you have most bits, then for someone else to fit you prob looking at another 500-1000
  8. I went with flux this year as Lancaster refused to reinsure me after being with them for 4 years, when I questioned them about it they could not tell me why, wanted me to take out a new policy with no no claims declared at over a grand and then they could reinsure me, you can guess where I told them to go, flux was a bit of a pain going throu the mods but came out ok in the end.
  9. Nice that make things a lot easier, think I might have tell the kids Santa has gone on strike this year so I can get all me bits sooner, don't think the misus would approve thou.
  10. Mr noisy some nice pics there, looking forward to getting cracking on this, must admit the install and wiring doesn't scare me, but the programming does so plenty of reading ahead me thinks, starting stripping the 4.0 and came across a couple of missing core plugs and a well blown head gasket on the drivers bank but no sights of steam cleaning on the pistons, next job to do will be to get the block preasure tested, I'll start a build thread in the members vehicle area with some pics soon, once again guys thanks for your advice you all seam like right mad bunch I think I'm going to enjoy it here.
  11. I hope not, need to get rid of the old oil burner ASAP, started tearing down the 4.0 today and all looks ok so far but even if this one is scrap I still got another 3.9 vbelt as backup
  12. Thanks guys that clears it up then, Nige looks like ill be giving you a shout for one of your kits once the Xmas bank draining has finished
  13. Gents putting a p38 4.0 in my 90 but don't know enough about megasquirt to decide which way to go, ms1 or 2, at the end of the day it has to be waterproof I know ms2 can direct fire the coils, but have read there can pe probs with this, and ms 1 uses edis which I can see most of you here run, please convince me which way I should go.
  14. There's the two types but then they also fitted to ex mod and as mine had series props which are the same diameter 27 mm on the roller Bering bit and I think 88 mm or near as width wise
