  1. Evenin fellas, quick question tonight, does anyone know the best, preferably helpful place to buy engine mounts for a V8. I'm after the parts that weld to the chassis. Have been trying Richards Chassis who quoted £40 for the pair plus postage but after near a week still haven't managed to come up with a postage cost. Preferably I need them by the end of this week.
  2. Evenin all. Would anyone know what the inlet manifolds need torqued to on a V8. Looked through the rebuild manual but can't find a figure.
  3. Ok so after a long delay on the rebuild I'm almost ready to fit my 4.6 into my 90 but my question tonight is which chassis mounts do I need and are the p38 mounts ok from engine to rubber or do I require a specific mount for this too?
  4. Ok so I'm trying to mount my 4.6 gems onto an engine stand but am unsure of what size and type of bolts I need. I read somewhere about 100mm 3/8 bolts but not what thread I need. Anyone any ideas what I looking for? Thanks
  5. Ok thanks, do you know if the valve can be cleaned or is it a replace job?
  6. Ok so last night i was out in the garage and went to use my compressorso i turns it on as per usual, lets it build up, then stops as usual once up to pressure. Once i started using it the pressure suddenly drops and theres a sound like air has just rushed through the tank then i left with very little pressure as the motor dosent kick back in straight away. Any ideas fellas?
  7. Iv replaced the chassis on my old 90 with a Richards and wondered the same thing. Only thing was my old chassis was so bad i didnt have the numbered section that i could keep. Gone from td chassis to V8 so im assuming i will need a new VIN.
  8. Got one wired in my rebuild, will check it tommorrow and let you know how its wired
  9. Evenin all, just wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting on to the V8 Tuner website?
  10. That's the very one. Thanks for that. Will send them a message when I get a mo to see if their getting them back in.
  11. Westerns idea is the one I'm looking for but can't seem to track down the snorkel for it. Really I only need the bit from the vent to the flexi pipe as I can use the rest of another snorkel I somehow ended up with.
  12. I'm looking to fit a snorkel to my 90 but it dosent have any vents in the sides of either wing and I don't really wanna cut the side of the wings. Does anyone have any suggestions what else I could use. Also there's a full roll cage to go on so must fit alongside this.
  13. Does anyone know if its possible to get a half chassis for a td5 disco 2, could do wi a rear half.
  14. Never leaked since i done that. Surely with the weather we have been havin latley it would have leaked by now if it was goin to.
  15. Mine leaked for a bit but it was just that the plastic bit at the sunroof where the pipes push on had become brittle and broke so got some slightly smaller pipe to fit inside these and tiger sealed them together. That's 2 year ago now and their still ok.
  16. Will be efi (4.6 gems), will also be megasquirted. Looked at autos parks last night but the were after almost £400 but I'm sure I read somewhere someone got one from landrover for not much over £100.
  17. Ok so I'm currently fitting a v8 to my 90 and wonder if I should be replacing the main harness with a petrol version or is it possible to use the old td one and if so do I need to make any mods to it?
  18. Ok thanks for the advice, think i will give v8tuner a call next week and have a chat about what I want.
  19. Nige thanks for the links, was shocked how cheap that kit is from v8tuner. I was almost at the point of wasting a lot more with rpi's kit. Thank god I didn't.
  20. Nige, I will defo be contacting you for a megasquirt kit at some point this year, I'm guessing when I use this I don't have to worry bout cats or the old ecu?
