I'll be down the weekend, should be good if the weathers nice. Did Driffield on the Saturday last year and it was a bit cold and damp. Does anybody know about the camping at Harrogate as when I called to book I was informed its only for exhibitors and that if they let the public camp they would have to hire security so have had to book to camp elsewhere.

Ok so after months of never ending expense iv finally got some money to throw at my v8 rebuild but not enough for my megasquirt. Question is I wanna upgrade the cam wi sowt that will give me a bit more low end grunt but am unsure which to go for. Also will there be other mods need doing to go wi the cam? All recommendations welcomed. It's 4.6 Gems engine.

A guy up my way had a mini mounted on a landrover chassis but i noticed when at sainsbugs a few weeks ago he has another mounted to a suzuki chassis and calls it the "MINUKI"

Ok so the discos going up for sale. Its a 2003 (52) TD5 GS with 86k on the clock in silver. Fitted with light gaurds and a bar and comes with the standards alloys fitted with nearly new general grabber at2's and 20" stormer alloys fitted with nearly new general at's (the new ones). Centre pipe replacement fitted. New fuel pump 2 months ago, dog gaurd, twin sunroofs. Chassis was schutz'd last year. Thing is i havent a clue what to ask for it. Anyone any suggestions or can recommend where i might get an idea?

Ok will try that when I get back next weekend. Hopefully it's a cheap fix. Bloody thing springs a problem as soon as I find cash to spend on the 90

Ok so yesterday i went out in the disco and when i started off the steering was very stiff and was like this for at least the first 5/6 miles then loosened off but still wasnt perfect. Went shopping then when i got back in it was the same again and is like this every time i let i sit for an hour or 2. Tried again today and its still exactly the same. Could it be my pas pump packing up or maybe even the steering box?

Never mind the exhaust brake just go the whole hog and fit a 3 stage retarder!!

Western do you know if that tool does the disco steering wheel too?

Ok so after asking around iv been offered a flywheel with newly fitted 10.5" clutch from a v8 disco. Question is will this be suitable to fit between my 4.6 and lt77 box?

Iv also used interparcel and had good service from them but have found parcel2go that little bit better. However if im needing large items moved such as gearbox/doors/wings/bonnets etc i wouldnt go past http://www.paisleyfreight.com/

Evenin all, just a quick question. Im about to order some mounts from richards for my v8 and just wonder if theres a special jig to get them in the correct position, much like the one you can get for the 300 tdi.

Ok so the garage have had the disco all week and been phoning with updates now and again. First they managed to get the fuel to pump manualy so this confirmed to them that it was electrical so then the hunt began eventually turning out to be a broken wire along the chassis.

Aye its defo plugged in. Its just strange how neither the old or new pump wont power up when i know at least the old one did before i removed it.

Ok so iv been out and tried the purge procedure over and over but nothing happens. Im presuming that theres no power to the pump and not being too clever with electrics iv only checked the fuses and all are ok so iv thrown in the towel and towed it up to the garage for them to sort out.

Ok been out and tried that procedure but it just refuses to fire. Its just like its not getting fuel. Actually have a suspicion that the pumps not operating. Will check the fuses once the snow eventually dies down. Surely it cant be the pump as iv tried both old and new and neither sound like they are pumping and i know it did start with the old one. Could i have maybe made a boo boo and put one of the pipes in the wrong order?

Never changed the filters, just assumed that they would still be full. Cant actually hear the pump working when the ignitions turned on but will go try that bleed procedure and report back. Thanks

Hi, iv just been out changing the in tank pump in my Disco TD5 after having the old one checked and being confirmed faulty. It was making the vehicle misfire slightly. On installing the new one (allmakes not genuine) i now find the engine wont fire up so i reinstalled the old one and it wont fire up with that either. Do i need to bleed it somewhere or am i missing something obvious?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any experience of the Devon 4x4 heavy duty engine mounts for the V8 and what you thought of them. Are they both chassis and engine sides of the mount? Currently i need both sides so if these were any good that would be ideal.

Tow mine on a run of the mill 16ft x 6ft6" ifor and it can get a good sway on at times. A mate one used his tipping trailer and after many brown trouser moments now refuses to do it so comes and borrows mine. I reckon its the height of the trailer thats making it very unstable with his 90 on the back. If i could afford it i would trade mine in for a 16ft low profile beavertail.

265/75 R16 Cooper AT3's, recently replaced my old cooper ATR's with the AT3's and im very impressed so far.

My trailer floors gona need done soon too but i will be using chequer plate instead of ply as it will last alot lot longer.
