  1. Im sure i read in nige's build thread he had his done. If i remember correctly it is a costly affair.
  2. Mmm i just bought similar from the Bay of E but 2m x 1.5m x 3mm. Came from a company called toeragtruckmats. Could possibly be the same company.
  3. Haha i actually thought of that after i wrote that last post. I can be a bit blonde at times.
  4. Ahhh, rethink me thinks. May just be the kit from noisekiller then a set of rubber mats on top.
  5. Not looking at painting it as i want to keep the galved bulkhead look. Just want to insulate the footwells and lower half of the bulkhead abit on the outer side. Will try the panel wipe tommorrow then hopefully get the thermo tec on tommorrow nite. Best get some heat in the garage to help it bond, either that or heat the bulkhead gently with the heat gun to help the adhesion.
  6. Did this vehicle have a diesel and a petrol engine?
  7. Does anyone know how much the wright off road kit actually costs, fancy gettin that for mine as it looks a decent quality bit o kit?
  8. Ok cheers, im sure iv still got some panel wipe hidden away in the garage from an old paint job so will go try and find it amongst the chaos and give it a go.
  9. LRseries.com or LRdirect.com, of the 2 id reccomend LRseries, iv had loads o stuff off them and its all been spot on, and theres the choice of genuine or aftermarket.
  10. Ok so iv had another thought, if i remove the red/white from the barrel will the dash lights go out like they usually do when the engines started?
  11. Ok thanks, thats what i was after just i somehow worded it oddly.
  12. Ok so earlier this year i got my bulkhead galved and since have applied fatmatt to the inner side but was wondering if i should degrease the outer side before applying cool-it thermo tec or do you think i should just apply it straight to the galv like i done with the inner side? If you were to degrease it what would you use?
  13. Ok so a few ideas to think about. Would it be possible to take the red/white exciter wire direct to the switch and have the white ignition live wire on the other. Would doing i this way mean that i wouldnt be able to crank the engine over with the key at all? i.e - key for ignition on and then button to start
  14. Ok, so after reading a few recent threads i have decided i want to fit a starter button to the V8 once its in. 1. To be able to keep the ignition active when i stall it without interupting everything, 2. For the sheer bling factor...... Question is have many of you done it and can you explain how to do it please Thanks
  15. I bought a td5 bulkhead off a guy who thought it would fit his series 2, got it home modified it and got it galvanised All in it wouldnt have cost me much over £300.
  16. Don't take too much liqueur everyone. Have a happy New year.
  17. Hilux drivers are very ungreatful, They held the British final of the sheepdog trials near my house a few year ago and the winner was adjustin his sat nav on a single track road and drove into a very large ditch, so doing a good deed i towed his hilux out and once unhooked he drove off without even a thank you. W#*!%R sprung to mind.
