  1. Just over £70 on Ebay, 14" Abrasive wheel type (lots of sparks, more fun) but qaulity may not be as good a £150 plus cold cut models, like the one in your link? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/14-METAL-CUTTING-ABR...1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. Winch Dimensions: 16.5" L. x 8.5" D. x 15" H. (420mm L. x 220mm D. x 381 mm H.) Mounting Bolt Pattern: 10.0" x 4.5" (254mm x 114.3mm) Does this help?
  3. 10 out of 10 for observasion...........But they are all from the same family and the Avatar one has just got more personality! Look at him smile
  4. Yep Very well built joints, but they are pricey. Especially if your looking at 16 of the beasties (upper and lower control arms 8 front, 8 Rear)
  5. Decided to eat the beans and use the JJ's for the arms The after market arms used on the 4" lift for the truck, had fixed bushes at each end and had a tendancy to destroy the axle mounts for the arms This was a suggested route to take with the idea to reduce the stresses?
  6. For when it falls off and is floating in the footwell, as your truck is stuck in some swamp
  7. I had considered this one from Ebay, has the SIRF 111 chipset, and states it is waterproof? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Haicom-SiRF-III-USB-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. A mate ordered some of these, so we can start sorting out his Jeep TJ front control arms. Very nice and these are the 2 1/2" model. The 3" model must be monsterous Is anyone using these yet on there builds?
  9. Looks like thats where i shall be going to in the end? But Old Sodders may turn up something or other? Just been contacted by the seller, all sorted hopefully? My faith in good honest Land Rover folk has been restored...........
  10. Yeah i know The Auction clearly stated "Brand New 24 Spline V8 90 rear Half shafts" The piccies had rubber covers over the splines like new one have. Oh well dropped a bo££ock on this purchase ...........Gonna have to go through the Eblag process....Bla Bla Bla On the upside...............Old Sodbury is on Saturday
  11. No worries about the measurements, im pretty sure i have identified them now. Cheers to the Ashcroft www. When asking about V8 90 halfshfts at the local Bearmach shop, they didnt have any details on availabilty
  12. Ah but these have had the Chocolate coating removed for identification purposes I reckon the short one is from a standard 90? The long one is a Salisbury rear? Am i correct? Just looked on the Ashcroft site
  13. A purchase off ebay, that would seem to have gone wrong? They were described as the Long and short uprated shafts for V8 90, 24 splined? Bonus i thought, just what i need to start sorting the axles out on a budget............. Shaft 1 Length = 33" 23 splines one end, 10 splines the other. Shaft 2 Length = 38" 24 splines either end. No oil seal area? Cheers for any response, guess you live and learn
  14. What is the "Actual" Diameter of 35x10.50 Super swampers? I know swampers usually are smaller than stated, but how much so? 33's seem to be around the 32" mark, so im told? So was looking into 35's as an alternative? Cheers Mark
  15. If you really want to Pi$$ ya mate off? I could lend ya a couple of these allen bolts to ~ A: Weld under ya truck? B: Lump him with? 56mm Allen against a 24mm Hex Mark
  16. Have seen a few Salisbury Front and Rear axles floating around on the bay recently. So are they a good upgrade from the stock LR Axle, and why? All im looking for is a good solid set of axles that will run upto 35's and take some abuse, but without removing all the internals and spending lots of pennies. I know re-gearing would be neccesary for 35 + rubber. But all i want to run at present are 33's. I know that the ground clearance is a concern too, i have seen what is an option for this and would be cosider it if needed. Retro fitting early 90/110 internals on stock axles has been high on my choice at present. As this option would seem a very viable option at low cost. Just looking for other options at the mo, especially as "Old Sod" near. What are the differances between the DANA60 and The Salisbury, just out of curiosity? Cheers Mark
  17. My feedback is at 100% and i have only sold known good vehicles (3) and always upfront with any prospectus buyer. Comment 2 I only mentioned it, because i have seen it happen on other auctions. Not mine..........and not advised....dont do it My comments were honest and truthfull of what happens at auction sites. It is not right but its something to be aware off.
  18. IMHO Get a PAYPAL deposit at the end of the Auction then the rest on pick-up in cash, Thats if it gets to the end of the auction, like everyone has mentioned. Cars seem to be purchased outside of ebay. A few other things: 1: Get an associate to post up a question like; "Thanks for letting me view the car. I have decided i really want it, as i hav'nt found one in such good condition. Would you considered a buy it now?" In 3 cars i have sold, this seems to get a few more calls and mails to view it. 2: Get an associate to "Shell Bid" on the product. So as to try and push the genuine bidders up a little. Dont go crazy though! Has been known to work pretty well. But your associate could end up with it? 3. Sunday Evenings is the best time for a Auction to end. Week auction best to end in the evening before 9pm (Kids bedtime, out to the pub otherwise) If you have an auction for the morning. Then after 10 o'clock seems to be best. After those with work access to the www, have done their bit for the day at work. Hope that helps a bit?
  19. It would seem the Straight Forward are getting a bit of a bad rep on this thread. But i didnt intend this to be the case. Appart from tryin to get hold of them, what i have purchased was fine. I have received an email today and i can sort out my die supply pretty soon. Thats me happy...... Am i to assume the beadys are not too good then?
  20. You may well be matey? All i know, is it aint good to have shrapnel wounds in the case
  21. Weekends fun for a lot of Jeepers at Ribbesford forest. But for one of'em a rear Dana44 with a Detroit Locker. Decided to throw its internal out and try and exit the casing
  22. Not much can go wrong with buying the JD2 Die sets from them (hope they still stock them) The choice is Straight Forward or Vans Sants across the pond in Iwowa I have been tempted with their double beadys though? We shall see what happens? Cheers Mark
  23. Bugger! They seem to be the only supp for the JD2 Bender Die sets in the UK Will just keep on ringing and leave'm an email.
  24. Just wondering if they are still trading? Phoned today and got the answer machine for some gardening company? The www is still up though? Cheers Mark
  25. Daan, How did you go about sorting the back end out using the older 90/110 hubs etc? I like the sound of the extra offset, as im intendind to run at least 12.5's Cheers Mark
