    Steering box is leaking from the top cover.... Without buying a new box or adding Stop Leak fluid what can I try? I've tried tightening the 4 bolts. Can I take the top off and reseal it ? Any pointers appreciated......

    Next step is to remove dash cover under wheel and check for any loose wires into the unit.......I'm hoping that will be the problem......

    What is the sequence to pair the remote with the car? Might need to do that.....

    Are those fusible links inside the "cloth sock" thingy? Did you just put a fuse box in line instead? I have the same problem......

    Thanks for the reply. Yes, it's a RRC with single button remote. I'd be happy with just central locking via the key so the bypass sounds like a cheap fix...... Have you got a weblink to the VWM connector? Where is the immobiliser though ? In the dash? Feel free to PM me if you prefer. Thanks again Rob

    PS a few weeks back when I connected the battery the hazards flashed and alarm went off. Disconnected battery and reconnected it. Was fine but I figured then it might start playing up!!

    200Tdi KA with single button remote blipper Connected battery after 1 week stood in garage. Ignition lights come on but it won't crank. Any ideas? Can I remove it easily? Not fussed having it working but would like to keep the central locking.... Thanks in advance Rob
