  3. Sorry for tardy reply. It's a factory fit 200tdi. Rare beast. I like it but not everyone's taste. Pulls well and I get good mpg to boot.
  4. Get the head off and do a proper inspection as Marten says or get a mechanic to do it
  5. Good value. Comes with gasket and new plug too.
  6. Don't run a Tdi without antifreeze - it helps it cool aswell as stopping it freezing in the winter. Don't use 100% water!

  8. New rad will make a difference to cooling efficiency. I think you need to go for that long blat to MM4x4

  12. I always carry a set of loppers in the motor to clear branches etc and follow the guidance given by David.....
  13. Spray inside chassis with clear waxoyl with an extension tube on the gun. You might have to drill extra holes to get into so e places. Get that mask as well!
  14. Keep the viscous. LR put it on there for a reason. Just make sure it's working properly. For a few quid just get a replacement Bearmach one like I did. Electric is more stuff to go wrong. Viscous is fit and forget. Take spare if you are worried.
  15. I know this doesn't help but vehicles are not built for wading in deep water / mud - seen it too many times over the last 35 years. It kills them! Good luck with getting your motor working properly again
  16. I set out a trial for North Wales LRC there about 22 years ago and still remember the same!
  17. Get the axle numbers of the casing and call Paddocks or Craddocks is best way.

  22. Output shaft bearings? Wiggle the props near the gearbox end - with handbrake off, out of gear and use wheel chocks! See if there is any play. Start there.
