  1. We'll be up for it. Cracking event's last year, we really enjoyed it and didn't break the truck on every event (that should put a curse on next year) Roll on 2011
  2. The other thing to check is the bronze or brass push rod location devise (sorry don't know it's official name) Basically it is the bit that push rod locates to, it is in the top of the block, you can see it when you look down the the push rod hole. (easier if you remove the push rod first.) When my belt broke, I broke two of these and it gave the problem of a valve clearance. One of them broke up after a few miles. They are easy to replace, just undo the bolts on the side of the block. good luck
  3. Any idea of cost yet, cos as with all things, unfortunately it is a factor?
  4. If I'm awake at that time in the morning, so can everyone else be
  5. Gutted. Tow vehicle blew a head gasket with 160 miles to go this morning, so had no choice but not make the event. Hope it was really horrible event, rained all day, the punches were all too hard and everyone broke fan belts.
  6. Big Green Thing Do you have a PAS pump for a 200TDI Disco? As mine has more play than I care to mention!! Cheers
  7. Cambelt changed, new head gasket and finally got it to run on four cylinders. Now if I could just sort out the PAS pump and the leaking rad, I might be onto a winner. Oh I suppose I should actually get around to placing an entry form in
  8. Entry in Now just got sort the truck out
  9. I agree, a good site and well used. Punches had everything from drive-able to how the hell? Enjoyed ourselves even when the rope broke (again) and we mangled a brake pipe. It was really nice that we didn't feel like we had to try and destroy the truck trying to get to the punches. Well done guys keep up the good work, looking forward to the next event.
  10. You now have another Class 3 truck, so that makes 8 places left!!!
  11. Have to count me out as well Bit still hasn't arrived from Oz despite it travelling by air mail. Guess the pigeon has had a head wind? Shame really as this was a more local event Still hope its a good event for those who are lucky enough to make the start line and I'll see you all next year!
  12. I might not have won, but i'm home first A big thank you to everyone for a cracking event. How some one got all 40 punches is beyond me after spending an hour in one muddy hole plus trying to get someone helping someone else out it would have taken me two days to get all 40 punches. Well done guys good effort
  13. Periscope has been fitted with a nice outboard motor attached to the back, that should do it
  14. Sorry I didnt have any 3/8UNF nuts in the van , Ive usualy got a few kicking about . If you could bring some more spares it would be appreciated
  15. Fan belt, X eng handbrake disc and mounting bracket (which pulled the propshaft off) and a blown (brand new) ARB. Think it is safe to say not our best event!! And it was a long way home. But thanks to everyone who put in a lot of time putting up and pulling down blue rope, without you guys i wouldn't have broken anything, or had as much fun. Thank you and see you ar the next event
  16. Thanks, going to need it just to get to the start line. Still loads to do and work has been getting in the way. Should make it but some bits might not be attached/working! But it the taking part that counts (so I have been told )
  17. Join the club, still alot of wiring to do and just those little five minute jobs!!! Just hope it starts to get it on the trailer! I was going to service the trailer as well, but that is going to have to wait until next month, oh well
  18. Nice that you will be there to caputor the evidence of our stupidity
  19. Working hard to get the truck finished, still a lot of work to do (including extending the breathers), but we will be there!!! Car 10
  20. Only got to finish the wiring!!! I wish I still don't have anything on the rear of the truck and even the chassis is still in pieces. Front winch still in the shed and still need a passenger door after i tried to rip the last one off! But i have now got a working heater
  21. If it works as well as it is advertised then I would have a couple for £30 each. However as with most things in this game, waiting for version 2 (or 3) is sometimes a better bet.
