  1. Ok thanks guys. It seems I have to find out who in CSW decided not to field a team Goog luck with the event, maybe next time eh?
  2. Right, dunno where the clash of dates are. There's nothing in the CSW callender around then. Last post of teams was 3 or 4 teams so how come it's now full? We've got 3 definate maybe 4. Nearly a full team in one day
  3. Can't believe nobody has put a CSW team up! WTF?! Is there a clash of dates? (besides buckys open day) If no other bugger wants to, I'll kick some arses into action & find enough to get a team together.
  4. Well, what I WANT to do (maybe different to what Actualy gets done!) is tray back (of course!) but I want to keep as much room in back as poss so also want to extend the rear radius arms etc to make it 100" ish. All very much dependant on work & money.
  5. Sounds familiar You 'n' me both mate. STILL haven't got the grinder out
  6. No problemo. I'm still waiting for a form I can email.
  7. Sorry guys, should have said.... It's £30 but there's a 5 quid discount if pre booked. AND you don't need to be a member OR join the club, but we would of course make you very welcome if you wanted to. I'm just waiting for the entry form to get to me so i can send it on to you guys. Thanks for the interest. OH..... nearly forgot..... We can camp on site NO playing in the dark though!
  8. Dorset Landrover Club are holding a promotional open driving day on 2 Sept at Minstead Manor farm in the New Forest The Site is suitable for all abilities from complete novice to extreme & has tracks to suite anything from very shiney to don't care! Non members are completely welcome as are non Landrovers (although we'll only laugh if you get stuck!). There will be catering on site & plenty of marshals to help you out & keep you safe. There will also be experienced members on hand to offer advice, tips & driving lessons should you need it. I should be able to email you an entry form if you could PM me your email address. (fingers crossed!) If all else fails.... snail mail. Drivers need to hold a full driving licence, vehicles need to be road legal. Looking forward to seeing you there. Rog.
  9. Hello mate. We're doing this Sunday's CSW at Torrington in Pauls. Mine is just sulking in a corner. It's on a SORN now & I think the mot runs out in Sept so not sure weather to leave the tray back till then or get it done & mot it with it all new? I need some enthusiasm toget my arse in gear. Hopefully Torrington will do that? KBE.... got my entry form ta. Is there a closing date???? Rog
  10. Deffo up for this one. Pi**ed off sitting around not doing anything The angle grinder's comming out very soon to play with Mr Tub! Should be well done by then.
  11. One day you'll get a little black book that you can write things like that! ok, I'll do it again.
  12. Confirmation Number: 1S5922890H6273419. Paid £12 so can I have 2 please.
  13. Can I have a DVD please Nige? Maybe you could post it & my trophy together!
  14. Russ, I just cut the existing hoses, didn't work out too bad. I like the idea of a 300 rad though. I've still got about 4" behind the rad but no point moving it any more cos the bumper would end up under the wings!
  15. Did you find some Feds mate? A freind has some for sale second hand, good cond. I didn't think Gary had any? I'm waiting to see the creepy crawlies Jules..... Gary has no mates
  16. When I had a standard intercooler I moved the whole lot in it's frame back 2" so i could get the 8274 in nice 'n' tight. When I then got a big intercooler I cut the frame up smaller & went back a further 3" but had to go up & over to the near side tight to the intercooler pipes. This JUST cleared the steering box. It also gave me room to sit a p38 oil cooler in front for the auto box. I welded angled brackets to the rad frame which just bolt to the inner wing bits.
  17. Transglobal in Poole has moved to Fordingbridge. Now 'Forest Tyres' still import Feds. I was visiting him last Thurs but didn't see what stock he had. His no. is 08450940846 I guess he'll be back Tues He's sposed to be getting some 'creepy crawlers' in & i'm holding out to see what they're like. Rog.
  18. I use Amsteel Blue, Had it on about 3 years now & loads of events. It's getting a bit tired but I carry a spare anyway. I imported 1000ft & it worked out around £1.20 a ft. I think it's gone up a bit now. Wouldn't touch 'Plasma 12' primarily for personal reasons but I'm glad I went elsewhere cos I recon the Amsteel is stronger. I've never snapped a front rope, the rear is getting shorter but only because of sideways pulls & no rope likes that.
  19. Mine fell off last year! Not sure about the silly running bit first thing either! What was all that about? Anyways....... put myself & Paul Rogers down (3rd last year (non arc))
  20. Russ, I can do setting up on Saturday too if you want???? I feel the need to be a complete person I'm not that keen on!
  21. My fronts locked at the mo I'll check the cage when I get it out. Top man Dave, just anouther thing I need to buy off you then! Shopping lists getting longer.
  22. I think you'll find I joined not long after you. I just prefer to post elsewhere Nice pic of you though bud
  23. OI I think I recovered myself Bud! You just happend to make a good anchor point! Nearly a full page of me, didn't make the cover this month Nice pic of you having an arguement with a tree
  24. Well done boys. I had every faith in you. I was a bit miffed you dropped out of the inter club but it's made it all worthwhile now. You were driving up to your usual standard in the vidios Deamon! B) Look out Malasia
  25. Ok, a couple of points........ Skimming the head will make NO diference to the gasket thickness needed. On TDI's the face is completely flat, skim it & its still completely flat (hopefully). The only way you can change the thickness is to skim the block, this will alter the protrusion of the pistons. As some of you have said the pistons actually protrude past the top of the block, this measurement is why there are diferent gaskets. I'd just refit the same size. Hope this helps.
