  1. It started engaging when I bleeded it real good. I just hope I do not have to go through that peril...... It has been a h###l of a job.. Thanks for concern. Appreciative to Andy and Mikey..
  2. At 80 the Rev is high and sounds like it is on 2nd gear. It engages on all the tranfer gears...
  3. LEs, I went for a drive and it won´t drive over 80km . Have I messed something up or will this relax after a while?

  5. A friend's relationship broke due to his habitual crawling under the truck.
  6. IT is engaging now.. Aligned the transmission gear and pumped like mad. IT is moving forward and backwards.
  7. Les you are right.I did ask myself the same question. I smelled of burning plate once and got scared. Just do not want the truck to give up on me when I needed it!! .Honestly it was not a wise move........
  8. Can this be the reason for disengagement on the clutch? I will find receipts for the new clutch which was bought 2 years ago... Getting desperate now.... Are they different?
  9. I took pics before taking it apart. It did engage once but -JUMPED TO REVERSE and to forward when I tickled the transfer gear.Så it is catching but not fully. If I did it fix it the wrong way I aint gonna go through the pain. I will sell it!!!!

  11. *What I did; Changed clutch plate and flywheel Mounted everything back Bleeded clutch pedal well enough Started truck and what happened; No engagement clutch changes when not started but refuses when started Prop atempts to rotate but never gets engaged What I did; Engaged traction to which truck flew in air and crashed wooden structure ( passer by jumped scared stiff to death ) What have I done wrong now? misaligned the gears? Borrowed pics from Les. I did allign this to the best as I could. Most likely a little mis-allign? Getting to the verge of dumping truck..
  12. And do slush the rest thoroughly....The whines are from the viscocity I guess....
  13. Thats right.. No grease near the pads... ( I was describing somehwere behind the brake pads....) Or better still the shims.....
  14. Hi I between the caliper and the brake pads there is a flat pad. I just don't kwo what element it is made of... maybe heat resistance or so. Smear copper grease on this and onto the caliper. Check the pic out.. behind the brake pad is a blackish element behind...
  15. Mine squeeeeleed til teeth started wobbling.. There is a pad that followed with the greenstuff you bought. Use some copper paste behind this pad and I think the squeel will give up.
  16. Does that wire hang beside the gearstick or below? I am alittle bit confused. I know I should have taken more pics .. I am confused and wondering if it should be on the tunnel case... Help!!
  17. That was a swine of a job. I once used ages to get mine down. I used copper grease on when it finally got fixed!!

  20. Look at pic below. I am working on clutch and refixing gear stick and transfer stick in place. I thought I saw a round black seal in one of the compartments. Not too sure. Has anyone any idea? I have checked on many drawings but just can't find what I am looking for. Any help will be appreciated. Truck is td5 defender 99MY
