I used 1 week og extreme banging of my drop arm coupled with load of swearing until I took down the whole PAS down. Cut it of with a grinder if you can. No amount of pullers will help. Unless it is a giant puller....

I just read this thread and jaws fell in shock. I am not a mechanic but managed to centralize my clutch, aligned and got in on the road after reading Uncle Les` tutorials on the tech archive. How is it possible for a workshop to do such a job?????

When I changed my clutch (TD5 99my) the plate and the flywheel looked new and Les commented on it. That had gone almost 210.000 km. Anyway I changes everything on clutch related!!

Mangan, sometimes I wish we had 9 lives like the cat. But alas we do not have many lives. I will do as said above. Drive carefully home and make sure you buy a new one and get it fixed. Steering problems are a pita and the consequencies of a crash is fatal. I bought my sumo for less than 60 pounds and got it sent to me in Norway!

Did you replace the master Clutch Cylinder?
-
Hi Ben I can see you are a new face . This means you have not experienced the woes of being an owner of this sickening, troublesome and a-pain-somewhere-I can't-mention truck o' a Land Rover. I will simply buy a new one and got it over. Short cut repairs like buying a refurbished starter will end you up doing the same job again. When I got that click, I bought a new starter.4 ¤ years after, it is still running solid. Digging head into the clutch house chin (location of starter motor) is a PITA. And yes faults on a land rover is inceasant!!!

Dishwasher????? I´d be skinned alive if SWMBo sees any trace of landy part in the house...
-
I recently changed clutch and told my soul , " This is the last project". Oh and SWMBO said "Crossing fingers this time". guess what! The brake lights don't glow after I press the brake. And this is taking the flaming energy from me! Once I nearly sold it for a 10 pounder!!!

Can't we keep these secretes to ourselves?? On watchers will start getting ideas.

I am almost on the 220.000km mark and must admit nothing compares to it!! Sharky has stopped marking territories with ATF fluid and doing pretty well. Happy days.
