  4. Before I signed my life away on the dotted line i used to have a 3185 as my daily drive. I worked for a agri contractor haulin everything from bales to silage to tracked excavators - seriously good bit of kit, especially when, ahem, tweaked... We used to get loads of hassle of the tipper guys when we ran into quarries with the dump trailer - we could carry 20 ton (like them), do 55 mph loaded (like them), run cherry (unlike most of them!) and pay £160 RFL a year (about a tenth of theirs!!) - suffice to say we werent popular!
  5. I put one into one into a Tomcat I bult last year... really not much harded than any other engine transplant if you have the correct software to set it up - everything can be reprogrammed - any questions just let me know. Ross

I think I'll be looking at Disco II's and P38a's, another Defender would probably be the end of me! Cheers in advance, Ross

  15. Thanks guys... I should mayve try and explain this a little better than I have! If you look on page 239 of the electrical libraries, the photo shows 3 yellow boxes. I dont have the left hand two, but its the right hand one thats knackered - what does it do and where do i get a part no. for it? Cheers, Ross
  16. hmmm, is that the little yellow box though? cant work it out from the Rave wiring diagrams... its got R6K8 written on it and is made by Siemens - presumably its a relay of some sort? Ross
  17. As you look into the ECU compartment (under the driver's seat) from the outside of the vehicle, there is a small yellow box to rear left. Am I correct in saying that this is the fuel pump relay? (R103) Cheer, Ross
