  1. I used 11mm plasma for 4 comps and it broke on the front it seemed to brake really easily. so i changed to 12mm bow rope supplyed by lucy @ challenger. the bow rope has been fantastic. although my rear rope 11mm plasma has done around 5 comps on the front and 3 on the rear and is still going strong. but i would now go with 12mm bowrope as its a better price and the extra 1mm give it a bit longer before it weakens. my 2p. Dan
  2. not another 1. i hope you get it back it sounds quite unique so hopefully it might get spotted.
  3. for £1000 id buy a rear locker and some simex coppies rather than wasting it on suspension you dont really need at the mo. although if you do want to go for suspension buy right and buy once go gwyn lewis OME !
  4. the eaton m45 looks a good size on the eaton site it says good for 2-3L, suppose then its just a case of getting the pulley ratios right. sounds like a plan for off roading , ie quick bursts of power. BEng Sweet FA
  5. hello, ive had my td5 110 for around a year now and recently its been guttless takes ages to come on boost and never fells like it has the original amount of power. i tried using my mates OBD2 compliant diag reader but it would not connect so cant see the air flow sensor readings. i disconnected the air flow meter and its back to normal. my question is how long can i run with it like this will is do any harm. also if we do get it on diag what readings am i looking for? thanks
  6. had marlow which lasted ages, then bought two plasma 11mm 125ft front one snapped afer 4 comps rear going strong after 6. now got 12mm bow rope went down to 100ft. if i have to buy again ill get 12mm bow rope. they are always cleaned.

  12. i was in the same situation as you i got my licence in 2003. i chose to do my BE trailer test. towing is ok. but a 7.5 tonner would be more comfortable but the cost of doing ya test buying storeing maintaining is more expecsive than hireing a trailer. i will eventually upgrade to a 7.5 tonner it seems the most comfortable way to travel + sleep but costs ££££
  13. not a good pic but i'll try find another.
  14. look at the challenger series too.
  15. hello. ive had my td5 110 double cab for a year now, and something has been puzzling me since i bought it. its hasn't got the usual Td5 stickers on the front wings or on the rear instead it has polished ali ovals (land rover badge shapes). its got lots of extras on it, its an xs but has side steps gkn o/d lightguards which were options. its a 54 plate and i know around that time there were defender blacks and silvers as special editions. mine is black in colour. i am wondering if anyone has one like it or where i could find out if mine is special? any info would be great. cheers dan
