They are Leyland parts bin bits, try also searching Morris marina parts.

I bought mine in lengths from Bearmach and cut to suit. a lot cheaper than that kit.

It's not difficult but a hand would be useful to apply gentle pressure to keep it in place. I used two clamps and some wood by myself. Just make sure you have the rubber seal the right way around.

Hi Kevin, when you sent the pump to the diesel specialist was the pulley attached or did you strip it to the taper?
-
If you slacken the pump pulley bolts the belt should move enough to align every thing, it can give almost one belt tooth variation so you have to asses whether you need to move the belt one tooth on the pulley to get the correct alignment.
-
Have you slackened the three bolts holding the pump pully to align everything?
-
There is always a chance that the pump wasn't timed properly on repair.

Cheers all, @daveturnbull did you also remove the aircon wiring as that’s not much use either ?
And for 100pts does anyone know what the symbol for fuse 19 means looked on line but no joy , think it’s something to do with the aircon as a brown slate wire from that plug loops round through the 5amp fuse back to the plug .
I think that is the "Take That" fuse https://takethat.com/

I always liked a split tail gate, that is effective. Well done.

I've finished the first one. The fit of the bulkhead was generally quite good, I did have to tweak a couple of small things, for example the area behind the windscreen hinges was slightly thinner causing the bolts to bottom out in the hinge, fixed with a spacer behind the bracket inside. I also had to space the bulkhead back from the chassis outriggers by about 6mm to get the door gap right, which was far enough that I had to stretch the holes in the footwell brackets, but given that it was a new chassis, new bulkhead, and some pretty tired bodywork I really don't know where the issue stemmed from. I can put up a few pictures of the bulkhead and a more complete list of tweaks if you like?
Oh and the feet didn't line up perfectly with the holes in the bulkhead outriggers, again, no idea which part wasn't quite right, but easily sorted with a ratchet strap!
Doesn't sound too bad, There is both a spacer and a strap on the inside of the windscreen bracket anyway as the spacer allows the bracket to clear the lip on the top of the bulkhead. A 6mm gap is well within tolerance. I have looked at some new units on line wich seem to be good value.

I bought an Evolution metal chop saw from Aldi many years ago. It has cut everything I have thrown at it. As it is only a mitre saw and not a compound mitre you move the material clamp and not the blade angle which is the most annoying thing about it. but it has earnt the £90 it cost me back then.

That's quite appealing, if only for saving the hassle! I need to measure up the spans, but looks like that could get quite spendy...
You could just cross batten it with roof battens and don't worry about the sheets width.

Looks great well done.

Are they double yellow lines down the side to stop people parking? Looking very nice although my garage is a bit bigger I still can't find the floor.

Why not bolt a ring to the floor and use a ratchet strap to hold it down, allowing you to quickly remove it if required to.

If it's the low pressure pipe (return from pump) you can get away with a rubber pipe until a replacement is found.

0 to 60 in 5.5 seconds are they sure that's a Defender they are talking about?
-
Looking good, where are the trim panels from? They look very neat.

Welcome to the forum. There are a number of suppliers for the front doors, start on Ebay. as for the rear door hopefully some one else may know a good supplier. Good luck with the conversion.

I would try a fine wet and dry to start then a polishing compound works well on polycarb headlights. but try a little spot first.

Dare I say doesn't apply to me?
No genuinely, Wales has its own set of guidelines.
Same as myself although as a UK citizen I thought I was governed by the UK parliament not the pratts in Cardiff.

Didn't it have a wierd camper conversion that had a fold-down bed in the back and some kind of sink in the cubby box? Wrong diddly wrongwrong.
I believe so. I probabley still have the magazine some where.

The Defender was the same, hand built on a production line with pre-made parts. Does Mercedese do it better? Morgams and most kit cars use pre-formed panels eithr pressed or moulded.
