martin-dilligaf
Ok so here’s one for the clever amongst us. I’ve had the battery off of my 110 defender 200tdi for the last few weeks because I have been the clutch fork on the nice days. Well all back together now. But since connecting the battery back up the clock is running backwards 😱 I have no idea why everything else is working fine.
jeremy996
Yes, mine did this. Stop the clock by pulling the fuse then restart it and set the time. Hopefully, it will continue in the right direction. Repeat until it is going forwards!
qwakers
just leave it, i would, just to see the confusion on your passengers faces when they notice
Peaklander
There's something inside that is supposed to give the motor a push in the correct direction as power is applied. I think as @jeremy996 says, you can just keep trying until it hopefully goes in the correct direction. I don't know if repeated "failures" indicates that the start mechanism is bust or if it needs some lubrication. That's what I've read anyway! western
IIRC my clock ran backwards when battery was reconnected after my chassis change, I adjusted the clock to set the correct time
