Hi All,

 

On late Series 2A maybe 3 the factory did a very special Factory LSD Diff with a 4.7 CWP.

 

I have had a hunt but can't find much info on them, particularly part number / build info ?

Doesn’t look like you have had much response. Sadly apart from urban myth/folk lore of such diffs. I don’t know anything about them either. Would be genuinely interested if you find anything out though.

You could try asking LR Optional Equipment directly. He seems mainly to be interested in 'external' equipment, but might have come across the detail you require.

Its now in bits and being rebuilt !

Complex solid bit of kit, superb condition !

Have you been able to identify the maker Nige ? What sort of Series is it from ? A Factory LSD for a series is  not something I'd ever heard of until you put this up . I did have a 80" years ago with an Atlas locker in the back , after market though and as it turned out not very strong .
