taurion
Curiosity led me to cut open the centrifugal filter. It had a 5-6mm thick layer of soot etc around it so it is obviously doing its job. It was a genuine LR part , I have no idea when it was last changed , the vehicle has 280,000 kms. What have other people found after a known mileage between filter changes? steve200TDi
I change mine when I do an oil change along with the normal oil filter. I haven't cut mine open to see what was inside! Steve
Escape
Depending on mileage and use it should be OK to change the centrifugal filter every other oil/filter change.
taurion
25,000kms later I cut open the filter and there is 2mm deposit of sludge so it is doing its job.
