Simon_CSK
Another day another project. Bought a Sport TDV8 with engine issues. I was told it will not start with the boost pipes connected and will rev with them disconnected. Was also told it was a problem on the left bank of the engine. Got the car home and it did rev and in doing so oil spewed out of the left side of the intercooler. My immediate thought is blown left turbo. Otherwise it is a very nice car. rusty_wingnut
There is a known issue with second oil turbo drain, altohugh that really only causes a puff of smoke under hard acceleration. Sounds like it might be an idea to remove that turbo?

Simon_CSK
This one is the 3.6 The reason the right side isn't spewing out is.................... the intercooler is full to the top with oil. So it looks like the two turbos are knackered.
Escape
That sounds a lot like what we had with the TDV8 this summer... Fingers crossed you can get it fixed with new turbos! 1

Escape
I guess you've read my update by now. To summarize, at first it would start but die immediately. We found plenty of oil in the intercooler and intakes, both turbos leaking, one badly damaged. Also diagnosed by removing the boost pipes. Fitted new cores to both, started and ran well, but after a few days the left turbo blew again. The impeller was completely destroyed and I fear some debris made it into the engine as that is now seized. 😞

HoSS
Saw one of these for sale recently, the typo made me chuckle - said it had a SATANV. Maybe that's the type you have?
