Junglie
Well, they wind me right up. But the driver's side window stops about 2" from the top. To get it that high I need to rock it in the frame, but eventually the handle just won't turn any more... Every now and again the internal door release stops working as well - lets the door go to the anti-burst point and then I have to open the window and work the outside handle. But now I can't close the blessed window properly... It sometimes (OK, usually) sticks on the way down and needs some jiggling. Easy fix or major surgery? Just a bit short of time at the moment. western
Trim panel off & examine the window regulator & lock linkage.
Mo Murphy
The glass might be stopping if a glass channel screw has started working its way out. Mo
Junglie
Good advice both. I had done some fairly vigorous bouncing around ('twas fully laden on a rather bumpy track) before the failure. so something working its way out isn't impossible. I'll take a look later,
ThreePointFive
Less likely but possible is that the guide channels can rust through, but you can't see it as the felt keeps them together. It might be that one side has snapped.
Snagger
I have had this happen on both doors on mine since it has been in storage. I’ll be trying silicone spray on the guide channels/seals first, but I suspect they have rusted inside the rubber and swollen, so will likely need replacement.
