russ3120
Hi this is my first post, been lurking around this forum for a couple of weeks. Question Just bought a disco (1) 200tdi, it has roof rails and bars, how do I remove the bars? No such thing as a stupid question, just stupid mistakes

BogMonster
My Freelander bars (when I had a Freelander) had a key to release them I think, is there a lock of any sort on yours? Otherwise it may be a grinder job
Jason2
Hithis is my first post, been lurking around this forum for a couple of weeks. Question Just bought a disco (1) 200tdi, it has roof rails and bars, how do I remove the bars? No such thing as a stupid question, just stupid mistakes If they are the same as the 300tdi they have a spring loaded pin that goes into the roof rail with a little catch underneath that you pull back to take them off. russ3120
Jason2 thanks for that, i wondered what that catch was for, but was to lazy to find out
tpk241
To remove the horizontal bars is simple there is a spring catch. To remove the rails you need to take out the interior headliner and unbolt them from inside ! Not a pleasant or quick job to do ! tpk241
Dont understand that?????Personaly think Disco's look carp without roof rails! I have the commercial version which came out of the factory with no rails .. dont know why being a commercial you'd think they'd come in handy .... Anyway all depends on what else you have done to the disco to balance up the lack of bars.
